My Trip to Bathurst

I really like watching the Bathurst 1000 every year and also the Bathurst 12 Hour too. So the week before Christmas

Dad and me went on a trip to Bathurst so I could see the track and go to the Australian Motorsport Museum. We went down in Dad’s little blue ute which was pretty bumpy but it got us there okay. On the way and also on the way back we stayed at Narrabri.

When we got to Bathurst the track was huge but the thing I noticed was how it was really narrow and very, very steep. I didn’t realise how steep it is from watching it on TV. And the track is actually a normal road when the races aren’t on so we went around the track and got to have a really good look at it. I even got this photo of me at The Dipper which is a really steep corner that’s famous. We also went to the Australian Motorsport Museum which was great because it had so many of the cars which had been famous at Bathurst.

Our Bathurst trip was really good and I had a great time with my dad. And this weekend I’m going to watch the Bathurst 12 Hour race. Dad said that he’s going to take Sunday off at home so we get to watch it together.
