Australia Day event meeting

A meeting to form an Oakey Local Australia Day Committee and to discuss preparations for the 2022 event will be held on Monday, August 16 from 5.30pm at the Toowoomba Regional Council Oakey Service Centre. The agenda for the meeting will include: - a review of 2021 Australia Day awards and celebrations; - the appointment of chairperson or president and delegation of tasks; - a discussion of locations and activites; a review and consideration of event budget and funding; and - brainstorming on how to encourage nominations for Australia Day awards.

St Monica’s go for gold

The students and staff at St Monica’s Primary School got into the Olympic spirit last week by dressing up as their favourite Australian Olympic representative. From soccer, rugby and cricket players, to runners and equestrian performers, the students showcased their favourite Olympic sport through their outfit choice.
