ADVOCATES BOARD MEMBERS TAKE MINISTRY TO AFRICA Advocates for Africa founders, Jerod and Katina Smith, were joined in Kigali, Rwanda just a few short days after Thanksgiving by Pastor Jason Smith of Stigler First Assembly (Oklahoma), Pastor Brad Sheats of Life Church (Alabama), Pastors David and Stephanie Morgan of United Church (Tennessee), all of whom are members of the AFA board. Also with the team was Advocates Communications Director, Pastor Steven Jeffrey of Oklahoma and Pastors Steven and Shannon Morgan from Destiny Church in Columbia, Tennessee. While there, they trained over 500 village pastors, conducted two crusades, one in a village attended by 500 people and the other inside of a refugee camp attended by over 10,000 refugees. They also distributed 250 solar lanterns and 200 Bibles, 200 sanitation and hygiene packs, dozens of soccer balls and visited the ongoing and new projects our field teams are currently leading. You want to hear the greatest part? Over 1200 people came to know Jesus through this week of ministry!

ANNUAL ADVOCATES CELEBRATION A HUGE SUCCESS We want to thank all of you who attended or sponsored this year’s Advocates for Africa Celebration Dinner. The Rwandan dancers from Oklahoma City University, and our friend Mike Ramirez from Throne Studio provided exceptional entertainment, the food was amazing, and the venue which Woodlake Church provided was exceptional. We casted big vision for the upcoming year, shared life-changing stories from the people impacted by Advocates for Africa, as well as stories from our teams on the field; but the greatest thing about the evening was the financial impact made through a matching challenge. Because of your attendance and your giving, you helped to raise over $85,000! This allows us to purchase the field vehicle we’ve so desperately needed. This vehicle will help our team on the ground take ministry like the Jesus Film into even more villages than ever before. We cannot thank you enough! Please make plans to join us next year. We promise this is an evening you will not want to miss.

NEW PROJECT YIELDS GRADUATES Recently, Advocates for Africa began a tailoring school for an impoverished village in rural Rwanda. Many adult students that are a part of this program are taught the basics of tailoring and are practicing their tailoring skills on a client base right in their village. This has helped them learn a new trade skill and now an income for their families. Thanks to your faithful giving, the graduates received brand new sewing machines upon the completion of their training. You are truly changing lives and giving hope through your donations.

With your help, 2018 was incredible for many people on the continent of Africa. HERE ARE SOME OF THE GREAT THINGS WE WERE ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS YEAR WITH YOUR HELP. • REPAIRED AND PAINTED 13 VILLAGE HOMES • 37 MATTRESSES GIVEN TO THE IMPOVERISHED • • 800 PAIRS OF SHOES • 100 GOATS • 1500 TOOTH BRUSHES • • 350 HYGIENE KITS TO REFUGEES • 250 SOLAR LANTERNS • • 1000 POUNDS OF FOOD • TOOK THE JESUS FILM TO 17 NEW VILLAGES • • PLANTED 3 NEW CHURCHES • BUILT 1 NEW CHURCH BUILDING • • CLEAN WATER THROUGH 1 NEW WATER WELL •

& OVER 10,000 SALVATIONS.

A CHANCE TO DOUBLE OUR IMPACT We are only a few days away from celebrating the birth of our Savior and we all know that Christmas for us Americans is a time of gift giving and celebration. However, for many in Africa, it’s simply another day without the basic resources needed to live healthy lives. That’s why we’re asking for your help in making a special end of year gift to help those in need! We recently received a matching challenge from a generous organization. This means that for every $1 you give it will be matched up to $250,000! What your “doubled” gift can do:

• $30 becomes $60 and buys 2 goats for a poor family.

• $50 becomes $100 and purchases 10 bibles for village pastors.

• $100 becomes $200 and provides 8 solar lanterns for refugee families.

• $1500 becomes $3000 and covers the entire budget for a gospel-crusade of 10,000 people.

• $2500 becomes $5000 and provides a clean water well to a remote village.

• $6000 becomes $12,000 and constructs a new church for people to worship in.

Will you help us DOUBLE THE IMPACT we are making in Africa by providing one of these things through an end of year gift? Please use the enclosed envelope to respond before December 31st.
