AF combineerde academisch toekomstonderzoek, journalistiek, fotografie en video in één (tijd-)reis project. Het werd een creatieve en experimentele ontdekkingstocht naar de toekomst. We dompelden onze levens onder in ons onderwerp en zochten naar dagdagelijkse, onverwachte of unieke toekomstperspectieven overal ter wereld: in hoofdsteden en afgelegen dorpen, open landschappen, bergen, bossen en langs kusten, van Europa tot West Afrika, van het Midden Oosten tot India, gevolgd door Australië, de VS, Cuba en Latijns Amerika, eindigend in Chili.

AF combined work in the fields of future studies, journalism, photography and video in a single (time-)travelling project. It became a creative and experimental journey into the future. We used two recumbent bicycles for much of the overland travel, carrying the hi-tech equipment needed to record the futures we discovered, in our pannier bags. Immersing our lives in our subject, we searched for everyday, unexpected or unique perspectives on the future everywhere in the world: in capitals and remote villages, open landscapes, mountain regions, forests and along coasts, from Europe to West Africa, from the Middle East to India, followed by Australia, the US, Cuba and finishing in Latin America.
