Co-op & Internship Co-op and internship opportunities provide experiential, hands-on learning for students and employers. These work terms are mutually beneficial for both parties allowing students to gain applicable work experience contextualized by their field of study and allowing employers to complete timely projects and act as mentors. Co-op students alternate periods of full-time work with their academic terms. Students are available in January, May and September for 4, 8 and sometimes 12-month terms. Internship students spend 12 to 16 consecutive months on a work term, between their third and fourth years of academic study. All co-op and internship positions posted on CareerLink are fee exempt. Eligible students have successfully completed 2 to 3 years of the academic criteria required by their faculty.
