Built a few steps from Nicosia’s historic centre, the A. G. Leventis Gallery fills a vacuum in the cultural life of Cyprus, presenting to the Cypriot public, for the first time in the island’s history, an extensive collection of important works of European art, spanning from the 16th century to the 20th.
The images presented in this volume highlight the three of the Gallery’s collections - The Paris Collection, the Greek Collection and the Cyprus Collection. They have been carefully selected to reflect not only the choices of our three curators, but also the public’s particular favourites: our best-loved works, those most admired by the Gallery’s visitors.
