OUR STORY
Hornit was founded by former lawyer and Ironman triathlete, Tom de Pelet. Tom had spent seven years commuting to work in London and saw a gap in the market for innovative cycling products. When the brand launched in 2012 the objective was to create pioneering accessories that made cycling safer, more accessible and fun for people of all ages. The first product to launch was the Hornit dB140 - the world’s loudest bike horn. The horn enables cyclists to alert distracted drivers and pedestrians to their presence. The product proved a hit and Hornit has since added Hornit LITE and Hornit CLUG, the world’s smallest bike rack, as well as a kids’ range, Mini Hornit. Hornit has pedalled its way to become an award-winning brand sold in over 40 countries worldwide. We’ve designed the CLUG to be a great fit with just about every bike tyre out there and we now have five sizes in the CLUG range. On the smaller end we have Hornit CLUG roadie to fit tyres between 23 - 32mm (1 1.25”) and Hornit CLUG hybrid to fit tyres between 33 - 43mm (1.3 - 1.7”). We also have three different MTB CLUGs to fit a range of mountain bike tyres between 43 81mm (1.8 - 3.2’’), Hornit CLUG mtb, Hornit CLUG mtb XL and Hornit CLUG plus.

The patented Hornit dB140 is the loudest cycle horn on the market and puts the cyclist in control of their own safety. It’s small, sleek and enables cyclists to alert distracted drivers and pedestrians to their presence. The remote trigger makes the Hornit dB140 safe and easy to operate whilst braking. The trigger sits under the rider’s thumb so there’s no need to lift hands off the handlebars. The Hornit dB140 can be used with all bikes including commuter and road bike handlebars.
