You and your family are going to fall in love with Arlington Heights Park District special events, programs, parks, facilities and more this season. Even though we’re moving out of summer, that doesn’t mean the fun stops in Arlington Heights! Our staff continuously focuses on providing top-rated programs and facilities and this fall is no exception.

The Park District has several exciting capital improvement projects to look forward to in 2022-2023:

Maryfran H. Leno

President

• Putting green replacement at Sunset Meadows Park • Bridge replacement and shoreline stabilization at Arlington Lakes Golf Club • Refinishing of the Forest View outdoor tennis courts • Basketball court replacement at Prairie Park • Playground Replacements at Sunset Ridge & Willow Parks • Path Replacement at Nickol Knoll Golf Club • Parking lot replacement at Dryden Park

We hope you join us for fall favorite events including Pumpkin Splash, Trunk or Treat and All Hallow’s Eve in October or if your child is looking for a challenge, Whipper Snapper Youth Triathlon on Saturday, September 10 is the perfect fit!

What better time than Autumn to try a new program or two. Arlington Heights Historical Museum is offering Little Historian Storytime on Saturdays (details on page 57). Test your knowledge at Trivia Night on Thursday, September 22 at Arlington Lake Golf Club or visit the first annual Art Night on Wednesday, October 26 and check out work of students from all of the Arlington Heights Park District classes, both presented by the Senior Center (details about both of these programs can be found on page 60).

As always, we look forward to seeing you in the parks, on the golf courses, in the tennis clubs, recreation centers, museum, playgrounds and ball fields….where the fun happens in Arlington Heights!

Timothy A. Gelinas

Vice President

Robert J. Nesvacil

Sincerely,
