Explore China in ancient province is a local project of AIESEC in AHU , Mainland of China. In our project,you will have chance to experience and learn many things about traditional China and other countries' culture through culture exchange.We will offer some opportunities to you for visiting, experiencing and teaching. ► Visiting:We will not only go to the places around Hefei,but also go for a trip to Mountain Huang to explore the unique culture there. ► Experiencing:Classes about Chinese culture will be given in order to do a great social impact and arouse the awareness to protect the preciousness culture. ► Teaching: We will hold some activities to give you chances to teach other students your country's languages,dances,songs and even the food . 05

City Introduction Hefei, the capital of Anhui Province, located in the central region of China between Yang tze and Huaihe Rivers .It possesses a strategically important location easily accessible from all directions of the country, and it connects the vast area of Central China. She enjoys a subtropical humid monsoon climate . The average temperature in summer is between 26℃and 32℃. Hefei is different from Beijing and Shanghai.I think it is more traditional than them.It is well known both at domestic and abroad as“a historicsite famous from the Three Kinfdoms Period and the hometown of Lord Bao”,is a city with a history of more than 2000 years There are many places of interest for you to visit and many special food for you to taste. Now, let us introduce them to you. 07
The full name of this temple is the Memorial Temple of Lord Bao Xiaoshu.It was constructed in memory of Bao Zheng who is idealized as an upright official and a political reformer in the Song Dynasty.Xiaoshu ›› is his posthumous name that was granted by Emperor Renzhong of the Song Dynasty in order to promote Lord Bao's contribution to the country.
Sanhe Ancient Town is one of the National 5A tourist attractions in China.The town boasts a history of more than 2500 years.It is a typical ancient town full of rivers and lakes,togther with small bridges,flowing water and local dwellings. 08
Xiaoyangjin Park is a multi-function park with various service facilities,pleasant environment and beautiful scenery.It was an ancient battlefield in the Three Kingdoms Period.
Zipengshan National Forest Park is a dense firest full of auspicious birds.The well-known Xilu ›› Tepmple,and the sculptures of 500 arhats,and many other sites of histotial interest are scattered all over the mountain. 08

Marquis Suyi of the First Class,was a Chinese civilian official who ended several major rebellions,and a leading statesman of the late Qing Dynasty.And Li families' residence here was built in Qing Dynasty and embodied the architectural style of Jianghuai area.
1957 Nobel Physics Prize Laureate,one of the two earliest Chinese to receive the prize.He was from Hefei No.1 senior high school. 09
Not only Hefei is full of beautiful scenery,but also out of Hefei,in Anhui Privince,there are lots of magnificent places,such as Xidi Village,Hongcun Village and Mountain Huang.
Xidi Village & Hongcun Village Xidi Village lies in the Southwast of Yixian Counry.There is a small river which flows through the whole village blocking its course,so it flowa to the west instead of theeast.That's how Xidi got its name.Hongcun Village is very primirive,not so commercia,which is under the title of “a viiage in the Chinese painting�

Anhui cuisine(Hui Cai for short),one of the eight most famous cuisines in China,features the local culinary arts of Huizhou.It comprises the specialties of South Anhui,Yanjiang and Huaibei.The highlydistinctive characteristic of Anhui cuisine lies not only in the elaborate choices of cooking materials but also inthe strict control of cooking process.

China's transportation is very convenient.You can manage yourself to come to Hefei.The following choices are recommended. Take a plane to Shanghai or Beijing,and then take a train to Hefei.Here are the maps.

Main activities: ► Chinese culture experience：You will participate in Chinese traditional culture classes. ► Youth for Languages：Opportunities will be given to share your own country's culture ► Hefei city exploration：We will hold city of directional cross-country games to explore the city. ► Youth to culture issues:We will hold social debate to deeply discuss Chinese social issues. ► Sales Running:We will hold activities to sell some things to improve your ability of communication. ► Global Village:Share the culture of your country with others in the large squares. 16
► Chinese culture experience: The trainees will participate in Chinese handicraft art, Chinese music,Chinese pottery , Chinese calligraphy and painting, and Chinese tea.We will go for a trip around Mountain Huang for to enjoy the special architecture there. ► Youth for Languages: Different counties have different languages,in order to let more people know various languages,we will hold some activities and give you opportunities to share your own country languages culture by communicating with the students of your own age. ► Hefei city exploration: We will design games about city of directional cross-country to explore Hefei city.You will visiting historical architectures, eating local food and communicating with local people though playing amazing games 17
► Youth to culture issues: We will hold some social debate to deeply discussion about Chinese social issues.The most important thing is trying to correspond solving plans were raised. Listening to speakers' share about Chinese culture atmosphere will deepen your understanding of China. ► Sales Running We will hold some activities to sell some things to improve your leadership and the ability of communication. ► Global Village: Share the culture of your country with local people by designing games, exhibiting special country products, photography shows and talent shows in the large squares. We aim to create a harmonious atmosphere to let the visitors feel the world like a global village and promote the cultural understanding
► Opera Time:You will have chances to watch Opera and participant in it which your design. ► Reporter Show:You can have chances propagandize your positive action to enlarge the social impact.

► About Food: During workdays, Your homestay will prepare meals for you if you need.During rest days, maybe sometimes you need to pay it by yourself.And sometimes you will eat out with our OC team, buddies, and other trainees, then you need to pay for yourself ► About Accommodation: We will provide host family for you and it is free. ► About Transportation: We will pick you up at Hefei train station or Hefei airport.If you take a plane to Beijing or Shanghai first,we will provide you transportation imformation to Hefei.Routine transportation expenses have to be paid by yourself but it is very cheap(about 1 USD per day). ► About Basic Consumption:It may cost you 600 USD during 6 weeks.If you want to buy some souvenirs,may be you need bring more money. 19
► Please repare a short-presentation and a presentation (usually multimediapresentation) about your culture. ► Learn some basic knowledge about China including food, culture and soon. ► Prepare a few materials for Global Village. Such as your national flag,costumes postcards, movies, books, music coins, and whatever related to youcountry or your own experiences. ► Master some knowledge (daily dialogues in English, songs, dance, etc.)about children education and think of some ideas about courses and the games. ► Apply for a MasterCard. It will be convenient for you to use it in bank duringyour volunteering time. ► Bring suitable clothes. The temperature of Hefei in summer is 30℃ to38℃.Please bring the most suitable clothes based on your own physical condition. ► International Student Card and Notebook/laptop is highly suggested to carry. 20
