AIESEC is the world’s largest student-run organisation whose Main activity is running leadership development for young people around the world through our Exchange Programs. We are a unique and continuously growing global network helping high potential young people discover and develop their potential. The Basic Requirement is the Exchange student is between the ages of 18-30 yrs. Every year over 10000 people travel to anyone of the 125 Countries AIESEC is present in to have a life changing experience. These experiences help then to: Test your professional abilities in a different environment that you are used to work in challenge your world view and have a direct impact in society Benefits of the AIESEC Exchange Program: An International experience to enhance your CV A new job opportunity in a foreign country or advanced leverage in your home country Bring innovation to the company you work in. AIESEC offers two Types of Exchange programs: Global Internship Program Global Community Development Program
Global Internship Program This is the Professional Based exchange internship where exchange students get to go abroad and work in line with what they have studied in school. This opportunity is open to graduating and recent graduate students. Logistics and Details AIESEC Kenya national Focus for recruiting students for the professional out going exchange program is on backgrounds in Marketting, Management and IT based on the student supply locally and the opportunity supply abroad. Duration: The Internship period takes a minimum of 6 months Country of Placement: This is based on the AIESEC Kenya national country partners that offer these opportunities. Salary: The Exchange students are paid salary and the salary covers the living costs. Application Fees with AIESEC Kenya: 10,000 Kshs.
Global Community Development Program This is the Cooperate Social Responsibility based exchange program. These Internships are focused on creating impact in the host environment; working with NGOs, schools or charities on the front line. The Opportunities are open to both graduates and none graduates. Logistics and Details AIESEC Kenya national CSR recruitment for the out-Going Exchange program is on issues in: Health Improvement, Social Entrepreneurship and Business development, Education/Literacy, Environment Conservation, Career Development, & Poverty Reduction The focus on these issues is based on those that locally affect Kenya as a country and what issues students are interested in. Duration: Not less than 6 weeks. Country of Placement: Based on the AIESEC Kenya country partners that have projects covering these issues. The Focus countries currently are: Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Rwanda. Salary: No Salary paid to the exchange students during this internship period. Accommodation provided at a fee depending on the country destination. Application Fees with AIESEC Kenya is 5,000 Kshs.
The Exchange Process for the Exchange Participant Recruitment to Register the potential exchange participants Review Process to verify whether the applicant is qualified for the exchange opportunity and whether he or she will be a good ambassador of AIESEC Kenya. Payment of Fee after which the applicant gains access to the AIESEC.Net Data base and manages to register as an exchange participant and begins his or her application. Preparation Seminar to prepare the exchange student for the Exchange program. The Exchange starts internship abroad. Once he or she returns back into the country they are taken through a ReIntegration seminar to assist them to know what to do with the experience through a lead session in the seminar.

Brief Description of Work Details Organization: Arvind Construction Company Private Limited Department the Exchange Student will work in: Export Marketing/International Marketing and Sales. Job Description: •The traineeship is a combination of marketing and logistics work. The Intern is the linkage between the client and the rest of the company. He/She will have the full responsibility for the clients that will be assigned to him/her: all communication, all price calculation, establishment of official document for confirmed orders, follow up for production and shipment status. •His/her task is to search for new potential clients from your countries that share your native/fluent languages. •The trainee will also work towards finding new clients for the company in the EU, North America & ASIA Pacific in order to help their expansion into multiple European/Asian countries. •To get the intern used to the company, the first 2 to 3 weeks someone will assist you & teach you all the basics. Measurable Results expected: The intern is required to further interact and negotiate with the existing clients of the company in the European & American Regions. Also, to further develop the clients once he/she gets back to his/her country. Learning Points: The intern will have a large amount of working knowledge in dealing with large corporate houses across the world and to successfully negotiate with them in securing contracts.
