My MESSAGE Hey dear you, curious about this role? Well, I was too one year ago opening a booklet similar to this one and here I am, current ECB Chair and extremely happy to have chosen this path. I can’t oblige you to take this step (and I don’t want to), but I can tell you why I think it’s worthy. It’s a quite unknown, challenging and professional role in AIESEC where you will be able to put in practice everything you learnt till now and you will be put in the condition to learn more, to do better. You will deal with customer centricity working closely with the MC, you will ensure that the promises we make as AIESECers are fulfilled, you will have your team by your side to do so and a large global network ready to support you and inspire you. WHAT IS AN ECB? Entity Control Board XPP defn. “ECB is an entity controlling body working arbitrating cases of exchange standards and ER Principles of AIESEC entities and physical AIESEC Members. Entity Control Board (ECB) is the last decision making body on national level in regards to Exchange Policies and Entity Standard Regulation Principles. A division, working directly with its MC, ICB & GFB to ensure that the best Standard and Customer Experience is delivered to every customer and stakeholder in each entity.�
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

Each Member Committee shall designate an individual who is responsible for the compliance with the Code of Ethics. This person may be the same one as the ECB Entity responsible.
The ECB being an independent and unbiased body provides a space, where customers who are not receiving the proper experience can air their grievances, without discrimination and the situation will be dealt with justly.
Customer Support
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? Standards Fulfilment The ECB keeps the exchanges under watch; each entity knows they need to fulfil the standards and provide customer centric leadership experiences, and if not the ECB will deal with them accordingly. The entity and their LCs and expansions are accountable to the ECB on matters concerning the standards, and Exchange Program Policies (XPPs) violation.
The ECB helps to interpret the XPPs best, and being the final national decision maker on matters concerning standards and XPPs violation, the entity have a right and fair body to deal with those cases hence no fights between entities.

JOB DESCRIPTION
1. To deal with all cases filed against the entity and by the entity 2. To provide consultation spaces with the entity where members of the entity can see clarification on certain XPPs or unique situations that may affect the customers well being 3. To give recommendations to the different LCs and expansions on how they can better improve their services to their customers particularly with the fulfilment of standards 4. To work together with the MC to provide necessary education to the entity on the ECB, XPPs and Standards, so as to have a well informed entity 5. To conduct physical and virtual audits the LCs and SUs to ensure they are running the products in line with the XPPS and the standards 6. Provide monthly/quarterly reports to the entity plenary at national conferences, as well as give recommendations on different ethical issues related to entity also give a brief of the body’s activities
