What is AIESEC? AIESEC is the world’s largest student run organization, focused on providing students opportunities for personal development and professional growth. We develop global minded leaders through international internships and volunteer opportunities. Our organization is present in over 126 different entities and is currently developing over 60,000 young people in becoming world citizens.

How can you get involved? In AIESEC, we offer opportunities for young people to help develop their leadership potential. We do this by offering two programs:

General Member: ◊ Cost: $5 ◊ Benefits: free admission to all AIESEC Laurier events and monthly general assemblies, priority for all future hiring ◊ Commitment: No commitment ◊ No Interview Required

Operations Team: ◊ Cost: $20 annual fee ◊ Purpose: hands on experience, local, national and international networking, real life learning opportuntities ◊ Commitment: 5-10 hours per week (weekly team meeting, functional training, project delivery and AIESEC events) ◊ Application, resume, and interview required

Digital Marketing Manager ( 1 position available)

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing, updating and assessing all AIESEC Laurier social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Vine. An ideal candidate would be a person that has knowledge on these four platforms and has a passion for digital marketing. Your responsibilities include, researching social media tips/ articles to enhance AIESEC Laurier’s social media activity, analyzing all channels to reach mass audience and working with social media management accounts; for example, Hootsuite and Buffer. (Graphic Design experience is an asset)

Public Relations Manager ( 1 position available)

The Public Relations Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining the brand for AIESEC Laurier through numerous activities. An ideal candidate would be a person that has great communication skills and team management. In addition, this individual would want to enhance their creativity. Their responsibilities include, connecting with Faculty members, scheduling and delivering classroom presentations to promote our exchange programs, planning and running fundraisers. (Graphic Design experience is an asset)

Expansion Specialist ( 1 position available)

As an Expansion Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the expansion of the new Local Committee in Brantford. An ideal candidate would be someone who takes initiative and is willing to learn about AIESEC to train future members. Responsibilities include training future members on marketing, the exchange process and recruitment.

Global Talent Exchange Participant Manger ( 5 positions available)

As an Exchange Participant (EP) Manager, you will be responsible for selecting, overseeing and supporting Exchange Participants as they prepare to go abroad through our Global Talent program. An ideal candidate is someone who is compassionate about impacting others. They will learn how to maintain a long term professional relationship, be responsible for professional development of others, and emotionally supporting their clients abroad.

Director of Global Talent Outgoing Exchange (2 positions available)

As the Director of Outgoing Exchange, you will be responsible for all current Exchange Participants to find opportunities abroad. An ideal candidate is someone who has leadership skills and passion to motivate others. Responsibilities include delegating tasks, leading consultations, hosting meetings and connected with other chapters abroad.

Events Manager ( 2 positions available)

The Events team hosts events and partners with other clubs on campus in order to increase the general member involvement while creating a strong AIESEC brand. An ideal candidate would be creative and looking to develop their interpersonal and event planning skills. Responsibilities would include: logistical coordination of events, contacting external parties (Eg. Local businesses, student clubs, etc.), and collaborating with other clubs on campus.

Leads Manger ( 2 positions available)

Leads Managers contact all student leads about their interest in AIESEC and refer them to their next point of contact, as well as ensure that general members are continuously engaged until they are offered a full member position. An ideal candidate would have strong communication skills, approachable, and good at motivating others. Responsibilities include: contacting student leads through phone, booking/ attending consultations and updating information on Salesforce and various other trackers.

Human Resources Manager ( 2 positions available)

A Human Resources Manager is responsible for keeping the local committee members involved in the AIESEC Laurier operations, and ensuring that members enjoy their positions. An ideal candidate would be creative, open to engaging with other local committee members, and good at problem solving and thinking on the spot. Responsibilities include problem solving, hosting casual talks with assigned members to track progress and planning exciting events for the local committee.

Financial Accounting Analyst (2 positions available)

The Financial Accounting Analyst analyzes previous transactions to unveil new ways to allocate funds in the most beneficial way. An ideal candidate would want to develop their research, analytical, budgeting and presentation skills. Responsibilities include completing financial statements in accordance with WAVE accounting standards, sponsorship proposals/ grant applications for funding, portfolio budgets and managing the finances for various local committee projects.

Sponsorship Manager (1 position available)

The Sponsorship Manager creates, establishes, maintains and manages accounts of potential sponsors within the Waterloo community. This member will work closely with both the Finance and Corporate Relations departments. Responsibilities include attending Corporate Relations training sessions, assist with financial grant/ proposal writing and attending meetings.

The Social Media Manager is required to create meaningful blog posts and generate emails aimed to keep corporate leads informed about AIESEC Laurier and to build partnerships. An ideal candidate would be a person who is creative and has a passion for writing. Responsibilities include collecting relevant stories, articles, opportunities and announcements through social media or other relevant mediums.
