Outgoing Exchange (Global Community Development Programme) - oGCDP Exchange Participant (EP) Managers (Team Members – 1 position available) As an Exchange Participant (EP) Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the experience of a minimum of 3 Exchange Participants in one of the three fields of Cultural Impact, Social Entrepreneurship and/or Education internships. You will be involved with the selection process of all Exchange Participant candidates, by attending/organizing/facilitating information sessions, Outgoing Preparation Seminars (OPS) and Reintegration. You are expected to manage and support your Exchange Participants, and ensure that your Exchange Participants will secure internship placements abroad through the AIESEC database. You will guide your Exchange Participants through database navigation, the Exchange Program Policies and the 5-Step Exchange Process. International Relations Coordinators (Team Members – 3 positions available) As an International Relations Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the creation of new strategies to improve client satisfaction, conducting an international market supply and demand analysis, and creating/managing communications with foreign partners. Marketing and Communications (External) - EMC EXTERNAL MARKETING TEAM
Social Media Team Member (1 position available) The Social Media Team Member is responsible for creating meaningful content and ideas to get our corporate audience engaged and aware of AIESEC Laurier through social mediums (Twitter and LinkedIn). This individual must also be aware of the businesses around KW region and is strong with their ability to communicate with externals. Knowledge of Hoot suite is also a plus. Graphic Design Team Member (1 position available) The Graphic Design Coordinator will create content for projects related to social media, blogs posts, and magazine. Creativity and developing innovative ideas for marketing future projects is an asset. This individual must have a strong knowledge and passion for an image editing software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop). Knowledge of video-editing software is a plus (i.e. Final Cut Pro, Premiere, etc.). Total # of positions available: 2
Finance (FIN) Accounting Team Member (2 positions available) The Accounting Team Members will report to the Director of Accounting on a weekly basis. They are required to complete monthly financial statements and bank reconciliations. They will accurately complete bookkeeping into WAVE Accounting on a weekly basis in accordance with national standards. They are also expected to follow proper procedures when carrying out their responsibilities. Financial Analysis Team Members (2 positions available) The Financial Analysis Team Members will work closely with the Director of Accounting on a weekly basis. They will be responsible for conducting return on investment analysis to ensure that funds are allocated in a positive way. Also, they will make sure that these calculations take into consideration financial and nonfinancial benefits and costs. Lastly, these members will ensure that budgets are realistic and will analyse ways to improve financial processes. Total # of positions available: 4
Incoming Exchange (ICX) CORPORATE RELATIONS TEAM
Director of Corporate Relations (1 position available) The Director of Corporate Relations is responsible for managing the Corporate Relations (CR) Coordinators. You are required to attend all networking events to represent AIESEC Laurier as well as to generate warm leads, and hold meetings on a frequent basis in order to raise and secure internships with businesses in the Kitchener-Waterloo (KW) region. You must also always support your CR members and take charge as a leader to provide them with an easier time within the portfolio, and to work with the VP ICX to research companies and make cold calls with your team. We are looking for experienced or motivated students with a potential sales background who are passionate, willing, enjoy challenges, and are looking to have a great leadership experience, and to develop their communication skills. Corporate Relations Coordinator (4 positions available) The Corporate Relations Coordinator will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relations with businesses in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge region. You are also required to attend any networking events as requested by your Director or Vice President to represent AIESCE Laurier and to generate warm leads. In addition, you will be required to make cold calls and attend all external events held by AIESEC Laurier as the face of AIESEC Laurier in the corporate world. You will also conduct research and facilitate meetings with potential clients and raise partnerships for AIESEC Laurier. INCOMING EXCHANGE TEAM
Incoming Exchange Coordinator (2 positions available) The Incoming Exchange (ICX) Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, sorting and selecting applications for internship opportunities in Kitchener-Waterloo (KW), as well as aiding the incoming interns in adjusting to the area. These individuals are also responsible for servicing the contracted company and intern throughout the duration of the internship. The ICX Coordinator is essentially responsible for creating the best possible experience for companies that work with AIESEC Laurier’s as well its interns. Total # of positions available: 7
Marketing and Communications (Internal) - IMC The Internal Marketing and Communications team is responsible for raising awareness of AIESEC Laurier activities and managing the brand of AIESEC to students. As part of the communications team, your main responsibility is to be proactive and get creative. MARKETING TEAM
Director of Marketing (1 position available) As the marketing director, you are responsible for ensuring that incoming requests for promotional material from the Local Committee (LC) are properly delegated and that the content that is created is aligned to our brand professionally, and are accurate. Social Media Coordinator (1 position available) As a social media team member, you will be required to manage, update and assess the AIESEC Laurier Facebook and Twitter page. Along with such needed responsibilities, you will also be required to analyze AIESEC’s Facebook and Twitter engagements to cater and spread our content to reach a mass audience. Blogger/Videographer Coordinator (1 position available) As a Videographer and Photographer team member, you will be required to take professional pictures in each of AIESEC Laurier’s events and then later publish them to increase the visibility of the events. You will also be working with the Director of Public Relations to create monthly V-logs for AIESEC members who recently came from their Exchange or Internship. PUBLIC RELATIONS TEAM
Public Relations Coordinator (2 positions available) As a journalist, your main task would be to position AIESEC in as many key areas as possible via articles. Areas may include campus clubs, Laurier faculty, external media outlets and within the local chapter. A passion for writing for different audiences will be required. GRAPHIC DESIGN TEAM
Graphic Design Team Member (2 positions available) As a graphic designer, you would have the opportunity to work on the student magazine, posters, social media graphics and TV ads. Knowing how to use adobe products is preferred (Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) but a passion for learning them will also work. Total # of positions available: 7
Talent Management - TM MEMBER SERVICING TEAM
Learning and Development Coordinator (Team Members – 4 positions available) The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for managing personal development talks between team leaders and their team members. This role requires high levels of strategizing with the team and assigned team leaders, to ensure delivery of a full AIESEC experience to all members. The Learning and Development Coordinator also needs to recognize the programs needed to address the skills and knowledge missing in members, to ensure personal development, professional development, as well as the success of the organization. MEMBER ENGAGEMENT TEAM
Member Engagement Coordinator (1 position available) The Member Engagement Coordinator is expected to help plan and facilitate all internal local committee events. These individuals are required, but also not limited to‌ work strategically with the Director of Member Engagement to determine the best ways to get members to attend LC events, and to make sure that all events are fun yet beneficial (worth-while). The key to this position is a passionate mind-set to see the local committee grow as a community, the interest of being creative and exciting, and the fun personality required. Engagement (ENG) Director of Engagement (1 position available) The Director of Engagement is responsible for the planning of bi-weekly training workshops targeted towards AIESEC members, future team members, as well as the students at Wilfrid Laurier University. Expected tasks include but are not limited to: contacting internal and external individuals to facilitate workshops on specific soft-skill topics and assisting with scheduling. Directors will also be responsible for helping the Engagement with AIESEC (EwA) Coordinators encourage members and students to come to these events to spread the brand awareness of AIESEC and to provide additional training sessions for personal and professional development. Engagement with AIESEC (EwA) Coordinators (3 positions available) By taking on the role of an Engagement with AIESEC Coordinator (EwA Coordinator), you will be responsible for ensuring that Engagement with AIESEC members are interested in continuing their involvement with AIESEC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: planning small social events, invitations to AIESEC related occasions, updating group on upcoming opportunity, and encouraging their participation in the bi-weekly workshops.
