What is AIESEC? AIESEC is the world’s largest student run organization, focused on providing students opportunities for personal development and professional growth. You develop global minded leaders through international internships and volunteer opportunities. Our organization is present in over 110 different countries and is currently developing over 60,000 young people in becoming global citizens.

How can you get invovled? In AIESEC, we offer opportunities to help young people develop their leadership potential. We do this by offering several programs: General Member: ◊◊ Cost: Free ◊◊ Purpose: for soft-skill development in leadership, management and world issues and local networking ◊ Commitment: 1 hour per week (including 1 AIESEC general assembly per month) ◊ No Interview Required
Team Member Programme: ◊ Cost: $20 annual fee + conference and travel expenses (subsidies available) ◊ Purpose: personal and professional development, project delivery experience, team experience, and local, national and international networking ◊ Commitment: 5-7 hours per week (weekly team meeting, functional training, project delivery and AIESEC events. Events and weekends included) ◊ Application, resume, and interview required

Graphic Design Coordinator ( 3 positions available)
The Graphic Design Coordinator will be responsible for designing promotional graphics and material for all AIESEC Laurier programs (Ex. Global Citizen and Global Talent). An ideal candidate would be a person that has graphic design experience and able to use programs such as, Adobe product (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.). Their responsibilities include, connecting with the other teams in the Marketing and Communications portfolio to discuss and implement ideas, create promotional designs and content and provide input and ideas

Social Media Coordinator ( 1 position available)
As the Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing, updating and assessing all AIESEC Laurier social media channels; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. An ideal candidate would be a person that has knowledge on these three channels and has a passion for digital marketing. Your responsibilities include, researching social media tips/ articles to enhance AIESEC Laurier’s social media activity, analyzing all social media channels to reach mass audience and working with social media management accounts (Ex. Hootsuite).

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for creating and implementing marketing campaigns to the Laurier community for the two AIESEC exchange programs: Global Citizen and Global Talent. An ideal candidate would be a person that has great presentation skills and wants to enhance their creativity. Their responsibilities include creating promotions through digital (social media) and physical marketing. In addition, they will be publishing blogs and interviewing our past Exchange Participants to collect stories for promotional purposes. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for creating and maintaining the brand for AIESEC Laurier through numerous campaigns. An ideal candidate would be a person that has great public speaking and communication skills. In addition, this individual would want to enhance their creativity. Their responsibilities include, connecting with Faculty members and other clubs/ organizations, speaking to the Laurier community and organizing events.
The Market Analyst would be required to gather information (eg. Stories, articles, opportunities, etc.) In order to create meaningful blog posts and generate emails aimed to keep corporate leads informed about AIESEC Laurier. An ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys to researching and is interested in developing their writing skills. Responsibilities would include: creating bi-weekly blog posts, conducting research to create relevant emails and posts, collaborating with the graphic designer concerning visual aspects of material.

The Events team hosts events and partners with other clubs on campus in order to increase brand awareness of AIESEC Laurier across campus. An ideal candidate would be creative and looking to develop their interpersonal and event planning skills. Responsibilities would include: logistical coordination of events, contacting external parties (eg. Local businesses, student clubs, etc.), and collaborating with other clubs on campus.

Leads Managers contact all student leads about their interest in AIESEC and refer them to their next point of contact, as well as ensure that general members are continuously engaged until they are offered a full member position. An ideal candidate would have strong communication skills, approachable, and good at motivating others. Responsibilities include: contacting student leads through phone, managing a team of general members, and enforcing a portfolio shadowing program.

Learning and Development Coordinators ( 4 positions available)
As part of the Member Servicing team, this person would work towards keeping in constant communication with other members of the local committee members to ensure problems that occur can be solved quickly. They also help members identify and reach their goals for the term. The Learning and Development Coordinator meets up with local committee members to conduct personal development talks, as well as helps the Talent Management portfolio plan and run events. An ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, know how to lead a conversation, and be able to think creatively. Responsibilities: Conduct 2 personal development talks per person they’re assigned, plan events, help members reach goals.

A Management Coordinator is responsible for getting the local committee members more involved in the AIESEC Laurier operations, and ensuring that members enjoy their positions. Financial Analysis Coordinators ( 2 positions available)
The Financial Analysis Coordinator analyzes previous transactions to unveil new ways to allocate funds in the most beneficial way. An ideal candidate would want to develop their research skills, analytical skills, budgeting and presentation skills. They will be responsible for analyzing budgets, researching for potential sponsorship opportunities, and assisting with grant applications.

The Accounting Team Member will be in charge of the accounts of AIESEC Laurier. An ideal candidate would want to learn how to coordinate events with other portfolios and develop their bookkeeping and presentation skills. They will be responsible for assisting other portfolios with events, uploading financial statements (eg. Journal entries, bank reconciliations and balance sheet statements onto WAVE accounting) and ensuring that financial standards are met.

The Corporate Relations Representative will be responsible for raising global internships opportunities by working closely with business professionals in the Kitchener-Waterloo area through meetings and phone calls. An ideal Corporate Relations Representative is committed to quality and service, persistent, selfconfident, and motivated. Their responsibilities include booking meetings through phone calls, consistently following up professionals, and attending local networking events.

Account Delivery Coordinators( 3 positions available)
Account Managers are in charge of the activities once a global intern is accepted into a company. They assist Human Resources Managers in selecting the best candidate for the internships and help the intern get settled into Canada (ie. Housing, organizing fun trips). An ideal candidate would be someone that enjoys helping others, is very organized, and wants to develop their professional communication skills. Their responsibilities include selecting applicants for positions, preparing documentation and visas, and ensuring that the intern enjoys their internship.

The Logistics Coordinator will work with diverse parties to manage the development of networking events hosted by AIESEC Laurier. An ideal candidate would be preferred to have past event planning experience. Responsibilities would include: external event planning, facilitation, and crisis management.

The Public Relations Coordinator will be engaging with the business community in Kitchener-Waterloo (KW) for the purposes of obtaining sponsorships as well as press and broadcast coverage for AIESEC Laurier. An ideal candidate would be someone who wants to develop their professional networking skills and would be preferred to have past sponsorship experience. Responsibilities include: maintaining partnerships with external sponsors, attaining sponsorships and partnerships, and communication via cold calls, warm referrals, and scouting (eg. newspaper and websites).
