GETTING INVOLVED ENGAGEMENT WITH AIESEC (GENERAL MEMBER) Cost: Free Purpose: For soft-skill development in leadership, management and world issues and local networking. Commitment: 1 hour per week (Tuesday night session from 7-730 pm and 1 AIESEC general assembly per month on Sunday from 7-9 pm) ● Open to all Laurier students (Arts, Sciences, Business, Music, Undergraduate and Graduate) ● No Interview Required Team Member Programme (Full Member) Cost: $20 annual fee + conference and travel expenses (subsidies available) Purpose: For personal and professional development, project delivery experience, team experience, and local, national and international networking. Commitment: 5 - 7 hours per week (weekly team meeting, functional training, project delivery and AIESEC events. Evenings and weekends included) ● Open to all Laurier students (Arts, Sciences, Business, Music, Undergraduate and Graduate) ● Application, Resume and Interview required Team Leader Programme (Full Member) Cost: $20 annual fee + conference and travel expenses (subsidies available) Purpose: For personal and professional development, team leadership experience, project management experience, and local, national and international networking. Commitment: 8-12 hours per week (weekly meeting with executive, prepare and host a weekly team meeting, management training, project management and AIESEC events. ● Responsible for raising awareness of AIESEC activities and managing the brand of AIESEC to students, alumni and externals of the Waterloo region.

CORPORATE RELATIONS

● Reponsible for managing sales and delivery of our Global Internship Program in the Waterloo Region.

FINANCE

● Responsible for accurate tracking and management of all AIESEC Laurier finances including budget setting and bookkeeping.

OUTGOING EXCHANGE

● Responsible for managing our Global Community Development Program and Global Internship Program for outgoing students. They are also responsible for communicating with other local commitees around the world to facillitate exchanges in their country.

TALENT MANAGEMENT

● Responsible for organizing monthly General Assemblies, managing membership, tracking the learning and development of members, and managing the transition into becoming Alumni.

As the marketing team leader, you are responsible for ensuring requests that come in for promotional material are properly delegated and that the content that is created is aligned to our brand. You do not need to know how to use the technical programs to apply to this role. As a social media team member, you will be updating our Facebook, website and blog as needed. You will also be analyzing our Facebook engagement to cater our content to reach the most amounts of people as possible.

As a graphic designer, you would have the opportunity to work on the student magazine, posters, social media graphics and TV ads. Knowing how to use adobe products is preferred but a passion for learning them will also work.

CREATIVE CONTENT TEAM MEMBER

As a creative content team member, you would mainly be working on creating promotional videos for classroom presentations, and TVs around campus. You will be responsible for photography and film management at AIESEC Laurier. A high quality digital camera is an asset but not required. Past experience using iMovie, Adobe Premiere or Windows Movie Makers is required.

PUBLIC RELATIONS TEAM LEADER

As the public relations team leader, you are in charge of getting our story out to both internal and external media partners. In addition, forging new media partners will be a focus along with supporting the local chapter in content creation.

MAGAZINE EDITOR IN CHIEF

As the editor in chief for our student magazine, you are responsible for planning the content and reaching out to the appropriate teams to help with the actual creation. This magazine is not only used at Laurier, but all chapters in Canada are able to use it as well.

JOURNALISM TEAM MEMBER

As a journalist, your main task would be to position AIESEC in as many key areas as possible via articles. Areas may include campus clubs, Laurier faculty, external media outlet sand within the local chapter. A passion for writing for different audiences will be required.

INTERNATIONAL MARKETING TEAM LEADER

As the international opportunities promotions team member, you are in charge for researching, packaging, marketing and hosting information sessions for international work, conference and internal CEED (Cultural Envoy for Exchange Development) opportunities. Marketing packages can be print, online, or presentation based. These can either be at a country level, project level or partnering up with another university.

The Recruitment team is responsible for attracting and engaging high-potential Laurier students with AIESEC Laurier and managing our recruitment process. Campus Promotions Representative’s main responsibility is to implement the communication and marketing strategy plans for the recruitment cycle, across campus. Key responsibilities include (1) coordinating promotions, (2) attracting students to AIESEC recruitment and EwA (Engagement with Aiesec) activities, and (3) supporting events.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS AND EVENTS 1 POSITION AVAILIABLE

The Recruitment team is responsible for attracting and engaging high-potential Laurier students with AIESEC Laurier and managing our recruitment process and Engagement with AIESEC phase. Leads Manager is the first point of contact with people who have shown interest in AIESEC through the website and thus acts as a customer service representative. You are responsible for responding to leads in a timely and personable method and notifying leads about upcoming information sessions and engagement with AIESEC events, as well as answering additional inquiries.

The Communications team is responsible for raising awareness of AIESEC activities and managing the brand of AIESEC to students, alumni and externals of the Waterloo region. The Talent Management team is responsible for organizing monthly General Assemblies, managing membership, tracking the learning and development of members, and managing the transition into Life Long Connection. As part of each team, the Internal Communications and Events team member is responsible for releasing a bi-weekly newsletter, attending Communications and Talent Management meetings and creating social events for members. Some graphic design experience and an outgoing social attitude are required for this position.

CORPORATE RELATIONS TEAM LEADER 2 POSITIONS AVAILIABLE

The Corporate Relations Team Leader is responsible for managing the sales, delivery and servicing of international interns to companies in the Waterloo Region. Key Responsibilities include researching and prospecting leads, managing a sales team, managing the matching process, integration process and corporate servicing for the GIP program. The Corporate Relations Team Leader requires excellent organizational skills, professionalism in communications, and previous experience in the AIESEC CR and ICX process.

INCOMING EXCHANGE TEAM MEMBER

The Incoming Exchange Team Member is responsible for expectation setting and delivery of the Global Internship Program in the Waterloo Region. Key Responsibilities include managing contract administration, the matching process and the integration process of Incoming Exchange. The Incoming Exchange team member requires excellent organizational skills, professionalism in communications and flexible hours.

CORPORATE RELATIONS TEAM MEMBER

The Corporate Relations Team Member is responsible for managing the sales and servicing of international interns to companies in the Waterloo Region. Key Responsibilities include researching and prospecting leads, conducting marketing activity, selling the GIP program and corporate servicing. The Training and Development Team Leader is responsible for support and development within OGX. This candidate will be an experienced OGX member. Throughout an Academic Year, this member will facilitate Re-Integration Seminar, Exchange 101, Conference Encore OGX, Outgoing Preparation Seminars, and Portfolio training days.

EP Online, MyAIESEC.net, visa requirements, Resume/Cover Letter Preparation, interview skills, and XPP are integral training components for GIP and GCDP exchange. EP managers need to know the different expectations for both GIP and GCDP and are able to identify candidates suitable for these programs. EP managers are responsible to provide support to exchange participants while they are abroad doing their internships. EP managers are responsible to follow up and communicate with Exchange Participants weekly to ensure EP experience is smooth.

EP Managers are responsible for Exchange Participants throughout the exchange experience. This requires foundation knowledge in intern Raise, Match and Outgoing Preparation and Realization procedures, along with international knowledge and the Exchange Program Policies. Before an EP Manager can specialize in GIP or GCDP programs, they must be trained as an EP Manager.

TALENT MANAGEMENT

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT TEAM LEADER

The Learning and Development team leader ensures that Learning and Development team members are delivering high-quality onboarding meeting, personal development talk (PDT), and coaching visit in addition to providing mentorship when needed to members. The Learning and Development team leader also submits all AIESEC Laurier positions to Wilfrid Laurier University’s Co-curricular Record, the procurement of rewards (the 6certificates and prizes) at the end of the semester based off of feedback from Learning Coordinators as well as updating the AIESECer of the Year plaque.

LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT TEAM MEMBER

The Learning and Development team member is responsible for ensuring that all members of AIESEC Laurier are receiving training, coaching & mentoring through a high-quality on-boarding meeting, personal development talk (PDT), and coaching visit in addition to providing mentorship when needed. The top skill required for this job is strong communication as building relationships of trust with members will be essential for high performance.

The Alumni Event team leader is responsible for planning, execution and follow-up of the Alumni External Event. The Alumni Event Organizer manages theme, guest speakers, agenda, venue, budget and MC/Host selection.

The General Assembly Event team member is responsible for planning, execution and follow-up of monthly general assemblies. Theme, guest speakers, agenda, MC/Host selection are managed by the General Assembly Event.

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for connecting with new alumni and engaging alumni that have already been connected with. Engagement will involve phoning, emailing and/or any other available method to reach past members of AIESEC Laurier. Alumni engagement members will conduct exit interview with members who are completing their term with AIESEC Laurier. In addition, Alumni Engagement team members will provide support for any alumni event hosted by AIESEC Laurier.

Accounting Team Members will be directly responsible for completing the day to day accounting functions of your local committee. This includes but is not limited to ensuring accurate books, creating financial statements, and ensuring complete records are available. The accounting team will conduct all preparation for the November audit.

As a Finance Team Leader you will oversee all expenditures and revenues generated by AIESEC Laurier. Your role will be to work with the Finance Team Members (Controllers) to create and analyze portfolio and team budgets. Strategic financial recommendations and operational management are the key deliverables.

As a Controller you will be assigned certain portfolios for which you are responsible. Your role will be to work with the VPs and portfolio members to discuss possible expenditures and ways to increase revenue within our LC. Awareness of budget constraints will be a main deliverable of this position.
