GETTING INVOLVED ENGAGEMENT WITH AIESEC (GENERAL MEMBER) Cost: Free Purpose: For soft-skill development in leadership, management and world issues and local networking. Commitment: 1 hour per week (Tuesday night session from 7-730 pm and 1 AIESEC general assembly per month on Sunday from 7-9 pm) ● Open to all Laurier students (Arts, Sciences, Business, Music, Undergraduate and Graduate) ● No Interview Required Team Member Programme (Full Member) Cost: $20 annual fee + conference and travel expenses (subsidies available) Purpose: For personal and professional development, project delivery experience, team experience, and local, national and international networking. Commitment: 5 - 7 hours per week (weekly team meeting, functional training, project delivery and AIESEC events. As a journalist, your main task would be to position AIESEC in as many key areas as possible via articles. Areas may include campus clubs, Laurier faculty, external media outlet sand within the local chapter. A passion for writing for different audiences will be required.

As a brand ambassador, you are responsible for representing AIESEC at networking events. A brand ambassador requires professionalism communication and personable.

As a video editor team member, you would mainly be working on creating promotional videos for classroom presentations, and TVs around campus. You will be responsible for photography and film management at AIESEC Laurier. A high quality digital camera is an asset but not required. Past experience using iMovie, Adobe Premiere or Windows Movie Makers is required.

You are responsible for engaging with and generating interest in students during the recruitment period, as well as managing the coordination and execution of recruitment promotions to increase awareness.

INCOMING EXCHANGE TEAM LEADER 1 POSITION AVAILIABLE

The Incoming Exchange Team Leader is responsible for managing the expectation setting and delivery of the Global Internship Program in the Waterloo Region. Key Responsibilities include managing the matching process, integration process of incoming interns, setting expectations between companies and interns, and corporate services for the GIP program. The Incoming Exchange Team Leader requires excellent organizational skills, professionalism in communications, flexible hours, and previous experience in the AIESEC CR and ICX process.

The Outgoing Exchange Team is responsible for managing our Global Community Development Program (GCDP) and Global Internship Program (GIP) for outgoing students. Exchange Participant (EP) Managers are responsible for Raising, Matching, Outgoing Preparation and Realizing EPs. EP Online, MyAIESEC.net, visa requirements, Matching Mania, and XPP are integral knowledge components for outgoing exchange. GCDP EPs have a seasonal peak of May through August and can be raised/direct matched to specific projects. GCDP requires firm expectation setting and are appropriate for students who will be returning to university the following semester.

The Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all members of AIESEC Laurier are receiving training, coaching & mentoring through a high-quality on-boarding meeting, personal development talk (PDT), and coaching visit in addition to providing mentorship when needed. At the end of each semester, all Learning & Development Coordinators will gather with their Team Leader to determine which members deserve the 6 AIESEC Value awards and the AIESECer of the Year plaque. The top skill required for this job is strong communication as building relationships of trust with members is essential for high performance.

The Accounting Team Member will be directly responsible for understanding and helping the Director of Accounting and Governance to complete daily, weekly, and monthly accounting functions in the local committee. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring accurate books, creating financial statements, and ensuring complete and correct records are available. The accounting team may also have to conduct legislative meetings, and internal audits throughout their term.

The Director of Budgeting will oversee all expenditures and revenues generated by the local committee. This role will be to work with budgeting team members (controllers) to analyze and enforce set portfolio budgets. He/ she must also conduct monthly budget reviews with the executive board, and to compile a report with his/her team members to sum up each month. Strategic financial recommendations and operational management are the key deliverables.

The Budgeting Team Member (Controller) will be assigned to certain portfolios within the local committee which they will be responsible for. This role will be to work with the Budgeting Team Leader and VP of Finance to discuss possible expenditures and ways to increase revenue within our local committee. This role will also require brief monthly summaries of what has happened in terms of budgets within the portfolios they are responsible for. Awareness of budget constraints will be a main deliverable of this position.

The Director of Sponsorships and Grants will research and compile a list of potential sponsors and partners for the local committee. This role will also require overlooking S&G Team Members throughout their tasks, ensuring that meetings are recorded on salesforce, and that progress is being made for the creation of the AIESEC Laurier benefit card. The main deliverables of this role will be the willingness to go out to networking events and researching potential sponsors and grants for the local committee.

The Sponsorships and Grants Team Member will research and look for potential sponsors within the KW region, while also researching potential grants that the local committee can apply to. Whether the sponsors are in-kind relationships, or for building up relationships, their task is to ensure that they take on more of a corporate relations role.

The Alumni Relations Team Leader ensures that the Alumni Engagement Coordinators are successful in establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with AIESEC Laurier’s alumni. In addition, the Alumni Relations Team Leader manages all alumni related events and allocates tasks to their Alumni Engagement Coordinators in order to deliver an alumni event of high-quality. Skills required for this job are strong management, communication and a welcoming attitude.

The Alumni Engagement Coordinator is responsible for connecting with new alumni and engaging alumni that have already been connected with. Engagement will involve phoning, emailing and/or any other available method to reach past members of AIESEC Laurier. In addition, any alumni event hosted by AIESEC Laurier will be fully run by the Alumni Engagement Coordinators under the management of the Alumni Relations Team Leader.
