This booklet contains a selection of projects out of many that will be available to you this summer. These are examples which we recommend to you. If you think you might be interested, don’t hesitate to e-mail maastricht@aiesec.nl, make an appointment, or come by our office at the Student Services Center, room C-1.09. Most of the projects can be categorized into three different themes which are explained below.

why? In Philippine society, kids who have special needs because of a disability are often disadvantaged and do not get the special attention they need.
what? Volunteers will be teaching assistants in a school and work with an NGO to create more awareness. Share your culture and contribute towards the children's individual learning process!

AIESEC Ho Chi Minh City
why? Many young people in Vietnam are not educated the issue of sexual violence and the protection from sexually transmitted diseases.
what? Volunteers will develop and deliver content for sex education workshops and classes. Furthermore, they will design promotional material for the project. They are expected to share their countries' sex education systems.

Youth Entrepreneurial Project
AIESEC Bandar Lampung
why? This project aims at educating young people in Lampung about entrepreneurship and helping SME's to grow their business.
what? Volunteers will visit local companies and businesses in order to find out how they are run and what the role of entrepreneurship is. Afterwards they will analyze and share their findings with local students, encouraging them to take more initiative.

Ramadan Project

why?
The month of Ramadan is the worlds most widespread fast, however it is often misunderstood or misinterpreted. This project is about understanding the daily life of a Muslin during Ramadan, because we believe that in order to achieve more peace in the world we need to truly understand each other.
what?
Volunteers will work in teams and visit different places, talking to locals and documenting their experience. They will also attend Arabic classes and learn more about Tunisian culture.

why? Working with mid-sized NGO's in Turkey, the project aims to improve their performance through providing management consultancy .

why? This project intends to combine non-formal education in an international environment , which emphasizes self-learning, values and authenticity. We try to give young people the confidence to discover their whole potential.
what?
The idea is to help teenagers to get to know themselves and their skills and values. Volunteers will be delivering workshops for students implementing creative ways to develop leadership and social skills, and to encourage them to embrace innovation.

why? With this project, we want to encourage Peruvian Students to learn new languages and to discover other cultures
what? Volunteers will facilitate different activities and classes for students, according to the level of their language skills. The lessons will connect the learning of a new language to the sharing of the culture of the volunteer.Volunteers will also participate in events organized by AIESEC.

National Project in: Fortaleza, Recife, Sao Paulo, Florianópolis, Santa why? Maria This project connects local youth with international interns, who will teach them a new language (English or Spanish) and introduce them to their culture.

why? As you probably know, Brazil is crazy about soccer. This project is about using this enthusiasm for sports to pass on important values.
what? In groups of three, volunteers will give sports lessons in a school. Throughout these lessons, they will help their students to develop more tolerance, a healthy lifestyle, leadership skills and teamwork skills.

why? In this project, you can use the skills you gained during your studies to make a real difference, working in a local NGO.
what? Volunteers will be working in the marketing team of a NGO. They have the chance to develop and implement new marketing and fundraising strategies, as well as trying to find new (international) partners for the NGO.
