for its renaissance, baroque, rococo, neo-classical, and art nouveau architecture. Much of the city's public squares, castles, gardens and elegant palazzi such as Palazzo Madama, were built in the 16th and 18th century, after the capital of the Duchy of Savoy (later Kingdom of Sardinia) was moved to Turin from Chambery (nowadays France). Torino is a city and an important business and cultural centre in northern Italy, capital of the Piedmont region. The city was founded in the 1st century BC when the Romans created a military camp, later dedicated to Augustus (Augusta Taurinorum). The typical Roman street grid can still be seen in the modern city, especially in the neighbourhood known as the Quadrilatero Romano (Roman Quadrilateral). The city has a rich culture and history, and is known for its numerous art galleries, restaurants, churches, palaces, opera houses, piazzas, parks, gardens, theatres, libraries, museums and other venues. Turin is well known

The city currently hosts prestigious and important museums, such as the Museo Egizio and the Museum of Cinema in the Mole Antonelliana, the Symbol of the City. Turin's several monuments and sights make it one of the world's top 250 tourist destinations The city used to be a major European political centre, being Italy's first capital city in 1861 and being home to the House of Savoy, Italy's royal family.

each intern will be legally responnsible for the house in which is hosted, both if it’s an apartment or a hosting family. for this reason, aiesec torino created an ep contract that each intern will have to sign once he arrives, in order to set good expectation about rules and behaviour to follow to not go into troubles with the italian law. interns will find the ep contract already into each wiki of the project, so he can accept it from the beginning. this is also the best way to prevent any problems between our local committees and give quality to our performance. Moreover, for this reason each intern will give to aiesec torino a damage fee of 50 euros, that will be given back to the intern at the end of the project, once checked that the house has nothing broken or dirty.
