WHAT IS GLOBAL MONEY WEEK? What is the goal of GMW? GMW promotes efforts aimed at improving financial literacy of young people. The ultimate goal of GMW is to ensure that all children and youth have access to high-quality financial education, they learn about money matters and are able to take smart financial decisions that can improve their future financial resilience and financial well-being.
Global Money Week (GMW), a CYFI initiative, is an annual financial awareness campaign built to inspire children and young people to learn about money matters, livelihoods and entrepreneurship.
What happens during GMW? During GMW, public, private and not-for-profit organisations work together to organise different types of activities for children and youth to spark excitement around financial education through: ● online activities, drawing, photo, essay and video contests, online financial education workshops, online financial education escape rooms or other exciting activities on financial education and money matters; ● visits to banks, parliaments, central banks, stock exchanges, currency exchanges, money museums, local businesses, and global corporate companies; ● financial workshops and sessions; ● financial education fairs, open market events, financial literacy rallies; ● financial education games and savings competitions, financial football matches; ● drawing, photo, essay and video contests
GMW 2021 THEME & SLOGAN • ‘Take care of yourself, take care of your money’ is the theme for GMW 2021. It highlights the importance of building financial resilience while staying healthy in the current context. This theme may be used by all participants to create their own GMW activities. • ‘Learn.Save.Earn.’ is the GMW2021 slogan. • Learn to manage money wisely Educating children and young people about their social and economic rights and responsibilities is key to creating a generation of capable adults, who can make wise decisions for their future. • Save for their futures It is important for children and youth to build clever savings habits from an early age in order to cultivate key money-managing skills for later in life. • Earn for themselves and their families Developing livelihoods skills or receiving entrepreneurial training, supports children and young people in getting a job or building their own business and developing their careers.

WHAT IS AN ORGANIZING COMMITTEE? •
An organizing committee (OC) is a subdivision within AIESEC in charge of the development of a specific event, in this case GMW 2021. Conformed by a team of AIESEC members and volunteers, the OC creates successful strategies for the planning and execution of the event.

OC DESCRIPTIONS Social Media Manager (General Feed + Stories) ● ● ● ● ●
Manage social media calendar and ensure timely upload of all promotional material on our online social media platforms. In-depth knowledge of Instagram mainly. Correct management of Instagram Stories for coverage of the event. To work with the Social Media Designer for effective creation of visual material aligned with the calendar and campaign core. Excellent English, Grammar and Spelling Skills.

Design all posts and creative/visual material for the event To coordinate with the Social Media Manager strategies and visuals for our online presence. Must be creative and know design softwares such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for effective creation of visual materials. Excellent English, Grammar and Spelling Skills

Will be in touch with all participants of the event Must know how to manage email communications properly Excellent English, Grammar and Spelling skills. Effective people management skills. To coordinate with IT Team for the information of the zoom links and any discrepancies throughout the event with participants.
Partnership + Sponsorship Manager (Coordinating with the partners) ● ● ● ● ● ● ●
Will be in touch with all sponsors; direct contact. Must know how to manage email communications properly Excellent English, Grammar and Spelling Skills. Important people management skills Must know how to talk properly and be able to manage calls. To work and coordinate with the Logistics and Finance Manager regarding sponsors’ requests and budget needs. To communicate with Social Media Manager and Designer Sponsors’ logos and promotional material throughout the event, along their specific requests.

Create budget for the event Work along all departments regarding the effective division of funds for the event Fundraising ideas Plan and strategize logistics for the event, along all team managers. Must have good money management skills Keep track of all expenses and provide a final report.
Agenda Manager (emcee) ● ● ●
Must organize the Day’s agenda Make sure all speakers know their specific times and events Must ensure timely management of the event and seamless flow
IT Departments ● ● ● ● ●
Knowledge of Zoom, and streaming softwares. Plan and strategize for all possible outcomes, and prepare a seamless event experience Manage all IT discrepancies throughout the event To coordinate with all departments. To support Social Media Manager and Designer when needed, as well as Participant Communications (emails)
