Ava Goldberg Clairmont
During my pre ib art course, I was able to experiment and explore with many different artists and their techniques. After visiting the art museum in Bern I really got interested in surrealist art like Meret Oppenheim and how she aims to revolutionise human experience. I did many responses with art to surrealism such as working with painting and collages. I really enjoy using oil paint when doing art because I like how it doesn't dry quickly and you can really try and get every detail down over the span of a couple days or a week. Also with oil paint it makes blending really fun. Whilst on my art journey I experimented with a lot of different techniques from water colours to clay. When working with clay it was very difficult but also really interesting and fun to see what I could sculpt with no experience before. Although that was really cool, a technique I spent some time on was collages. 36
