During my GCSE course, I have explored many artists and styles. Edward Hopper and Ayjaja were the two artists that inspired me the most, Edward Hopper taught me how to use paint and Ayjaja taught me how to use watercolour. I mostly focused on watercolour which has been the best style I have tried yet, I have learned how to mix and blend the colours and shape paintings. That was the style I used for my mock exam. After focusing so much on watercolour, I am now trying out some different styles like clay and oil paint. I have never used clay or oil paint before and after trying it out, I felt more comfortable with oil paint. I liked oil paint because of how I can mix the colours really well and if I made a mistake, I could fix it easily. I still need to work more on my oil painting skills but I think it is going well.
