JAIPUR RUGS
At the September 2019 edition of Maison et Objet in Paris, India-based Jaipur Rugs and Italian designer Matteo Cibic their latest collaboration, a collection of 24 rugs called Jaipur Wunderkammer. Inspired by Cibic's 2018 visit to Jaipur in Rajasthan, the collection takes cues from the city's architecture, colors and miniature paintings, and also plays on the culture and beauty of the historic city. collection, the designer depicts a "phantasmagorical India" through the artistry of rug weaving. The Mirage rug's design is inspired by the iconic Jalmahal and its reflection in its surrounding water. The design, which brings the magic of the serene setting to life, is offered in two colorways. Cibic mixes geometric and decorative patterns together in this bold, contemporary collection, and uses the many January - March 2020
