Air Serbia - Serbia Creates

Serbian national airline Air Serbia has given an A330 used on the Belgrade - JFK route, a special “Serbia Creates” tail-fin.

Serbia Creates is a programme fostered by the Serbian Government to promote the country’s creative industries and knowledge based economy.

The initiative features a series of ‘creative ambassadors’ from Serbia in different fields such as music, art, film and technology.

As a result, you’d imagine that the collaboration with Air Serbia would lend itself to a similar initiative to Norwegian’s ‘tail-fin heroes’ (see next article) where these creative ambassadors or their work could be featured on Air Serbia aircraft.

Instead, the A330 simply contains a series of generic words such as “trust, design, theater, music, talent.”

Most people looking at the aircraft will be unlikely to realise what it’s promoting, and so this seems like a missed opportunity to promote Serbia’s creative talent.
