WELCOME TO THE HOME OF NATURAL WONDERS Namibia, the Gem of Africa, hosts many natural wonders. Its dunes are one of the highest in the world. For many years its desert has stretched far out. Many came and many went, the ghost town, Kolmanskop, tells it all. Over the years Namibia has remained true to its nature, its valleys untampered, much like our beer. When it comes to brewing Windhoek, we’ve stuck to the 500-year-old Reinheitsgebot law. Using only natural ingredients to produce 100% pure beer. To experience the home of Windhoek Lager, book a tour of the brewery. Tour starts at 8:30 and 14:00 every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Dear Esteemed Passengers, Thank you for choosing Air Namibia as your preferred carrier of choice! Air Namibia was well represented at the International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s 73rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit held in the first week of June 2017 in Cancun, Mexico. IATA is a trade association for the world’s airlines, representing some 275 airlines or 83% of total air traffic. Air Namibia is a member of this international body and complies with the international standards set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Adv. Mandi E.P. Samson Acting Managing Director

Flying remains the safest form of long distance travel by a wide margin.

At the IATA AGM, attended by around 1,000 industry leaders and media, important topics related to developments in the aviation sector were discussed. For example, Cancun in Mexico welcomes around five million visitors every year, while Air Namibia transports over half a million passengers per year. Both scenarios show that air transport fuels the robust, vibrant and growing tourism industry. The IATA AGM focussed on discussions about making aviation an even more successful industry and facilitator of global prosperity. It was noted that flying remains the safest form of long distance travel by a wide margin. Aviation is globalisation at its very best and IATA is committed to build smarter regulations to maintain the competitive edge of the industry. Various resolutions were passed for the sustainable development of the aviation industry.

Back at home, Air Namibia hosted its Annual Stakeholder’s Conference on the 17th of May 2017, to provide feedback on the developments taking place at the national airline of the Republic of Namibia. During this important symposium, it was revealed that Air Namibia adds value to the Namibian economy, according to the Oxfords Economics study on “Air Namibia’s Economic Impact” commissioned in November 2016. The Oxford study focused on the national airline’s core and catalytic impact, while making projections for future growth. The findings show that in 2015/16, Air Namibia’s operations and aviation-related capital spending made N$704 million contribution to the Namibian economy and sustained 4,550 jobs. With your support, Air Namibia will continue playing a significant role in the socioeconomic development of Namibia.

During the same month, Air Namibia joined the world to celebrate the International Cabin Crew day on 31 May 2017, to recognise flight attendants’ value contribution to the aviation sector. Whilst celebrating this important day, Air Namibia used the opportunity to raise awareness about a career that is often compared to being a ‘sky bound’ waiter/waitress. The primary duty of a flight attendant is to ensure safety and comfort of passengers during a flight. They provide excellent customer service whilst ensuring that passengers’ safety and convenience are attended to throughout the flight. In our monthly efforts to promote domestic tourism, this month we take a focus on Namibia Wildlife Resort’s (NWR) Naukluft Resort. Built into an old German Historic Fort built in 1897, Namutoni Resort is the perfect setting for a cultural adventure on the African savannah. It is located in the eastern part of the Etosha National Park in close proximity to the Fisher’s Pan – a hotspot for birders.

Thank you for flying Air Namibia, we look forward to welcoming you on board again soon. Follow us on

the necessary craft materials and tools, and troubleshoot the process from start to finish.” Currently, Celia is in a joint venture with a KwaZulu-Natal based community and factory. Her ultimate dream is to have so many orders for the bags that they’ll be able to open a dedicated Arts and Culture Centre, funded by the project: “I purchase the materials, beads, thread, cut the patterns, drive to meet the crafters, and so on. When the work’s ready, there’s quality control, fine tuning, and then I deliver the bags to a leather factory where I choose the hide and colour leather for the production line.” All materials are locally produced - a tannery for the leather, local canvas and locally sourced glass beads. Each Ndebele Beaded Bag comes with a cultural influence, is traditional in design, unique in colour, user friendly and of a very high quality. The designs are practical for those on safari who live out of a suitcase. The quality canvas and leather are durable, and not too heavy when exiting and entering small aircraft with limited space. For Celia, her ideas for expansion of the brand is based on product lines: “I’d eventually like to have a group of artisans working on viable projects in each tribal area of South Africa, celebrating all our tribes in southern Africa with distinctive products.”

Africa Geographic Photographer Of The Year 2017 The annual Africa Geographic Photographer of the Year winners have just been announced…and together with sensational prizes, the winners, category finalists and certain selected images will be featured in Africa Geographic’s 2017 Yearbook Edited by: Anne Schauffer Photographs supplied by: Africa Geographic

T

he Africa Geographic Photographer of the Year 2017 – with key sponsors Canon and Land Rover – consists of three categories, each resulting in a winner. From

those three winners, a single overall Photographer of the Year is chosen. The categories are wildlife, travel, and culture. The week before the winners are announced, 26 finalists are chosen, and this is the pool from which the winners emerge. These are narrowed down to five potential overall winners, and then the overall winner. The four ‘commendable finalists’ are essentially, the runner up entries which were nipping at the heels of the winner. Likewise, Facebook, Instagram and the Africa Geographic community have another category: each of the 3 category winners as chosen by public vote via Africa Geographic’s Facebook community, qualifies as a finalist for the title of “Facebook favourite”. The ‘most popular’ Instagram entry was awarded separately. The judges emanate from the Africa Geographic team members.

Winner 2017 This year, the overall winner came from the wildlife category. John Vosloo’s “Circles of Protection”, won the Wildlife category and Vosloo is the 2017 Photographer of the Year. As well as the title, he walks away with R10,999 worth of equipment from Canon South Africa, and a Big Cat Photo Safari for two provided by At Close Quarters, inclusive of four nights accommodation at Djuma Vuyatela Lodge in Sabi Sands and flights included, all valued at R52 000.

COMMENDABLE FINALIST Johan Mocke – “He who adapts best, wins!” (Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa/Botswana) The judges’ comments: “This photo had us jumping out of our seats from the moment we first saw it. At first glance, this is opportunistic photography at its finest. Anyone who’s spent just one day out in the bush with a camera will know what we’re talking about. But, if you’ve been lucky enough, as we have, to sit staring at this photo (sometimes thirty minutes on its own) debating and deliberating, you’ll know that this photograph is something more – it’s the symbol of a pure passion and dedication to wildlife photography.” “It takes a passionate interest in this jackal’s behaviour for the photographer to know how to capture this exact moment. In a world of instantaneous and forgotten moments, the ability to vividly capture a moment like this is special. We greatly appreciate that, and as far as forgotten moments are concerned, well, the jackal would go on to hunt many more sandgrouse – but likely never be so perfectly captured in action again. Thus, this photograph was a strong contender for the winner’s prize.”

COMMENDABLE FINALIST George Turner – “A magical shower” (Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania) The judges’ comments: “This photo clearly spells one thing for us: magic. There is magic in the way the photographer has captured the mixture of ethereal lighting and the soft and tranquil rain, and in the photographer’s words, ‘the effect of creating hope’. That alone makes this a stunning photograph.” “The fact that there’s a perfectly captured subject of Africa’s most graceful and elegant cat adds to the magic. This is a Narniaesque photo where the cheetah seems to be inviting you into his world. This stunningly captured evocative story that perfectly illustrates the graceful side of these magic cats made it a strong contender for the winner.”

COMMENDABLE FINALIST Panos Laskarakis – “Thirsty look” (Serengeti National Park, Tanzania) The judges’ comments: “This photograph speaks to us deeply of raw, wild Africa. This is not Africa imagined or created – this is real Africa. If there was one standout photograph that could be used to portray a sense of untamed wilderness, it would be this ‘chocolate lion’.” “The focused look in the lion’s eyes and the mud on its fur, tells the story of an entirely wild creature living an entirely wild existence. The fact that this magnificent creature was captured in one of the wildest places on Earth, the Serengeti, is fitting. We strive to celebrate real, wild Africa and the success of this photograph in that regard made it a very strong contender for the winner.”

JULY 2017 | FLAMINGO

PHOTOGRAPHY

COMMENDABLE FINALIST Ernest Porter – “A rock monitor hides in a tree” (Ndumo Game Reserve, South Africa) The judges’ comments: “Never have we so kindly received such an open invitation into the world of reptiles than the story captured in this photograph. Who does that piercing stare belong to? How long has it been staring at us for? Are we intruding on its territory? It seems likely that it’ll slink off in the blink of an eye – will we ever see it again? “The multiple stories in a single moment so perfectly captured in this photograph made it a strong contender for the overall winner.”

PHOTOGRAPHY

CULTURE CATEGORY WINNER Christophe Lapeze - “Proud” (Omo Valley, Ethiopia) The judges’ comments: “Christophe Lapeze’s image of a proud Mursi woman in Ethiopia is, for us, the most evocatively told story of tribal culture in this year’s selection. This particular shot stands out above the other photos in this category as a bold and strong portrayal of cultural authenticity – almost as if the woman had taken it herself. “Here, she is not being ‘staged’ or ‘showcased’ as has become the somewhat blurred norm with cultural photography. She seems to be showcasing herself, sending a bold statement of pride in her culture, and our obligation to respect it. Our refreshed sense of respect for her and her culture is what ultimately decided this photo as the winner of the Culture category.”

32|

JULY 2017 | FLAMINGO

PHOTOGRAPHY

TRAVEL CATEGORY WINNER Willem Kruger - “Quiver trees in the Richtersveld” (Richterveld, South Africa) The judges’ comments: “Willem Kruger’s star trail image is another standout image in its genre. While most astropotography invites us to explore the universe beyond, this particular photo with its seemingly simple foreground, invites us to explore the wonder of the universe from a uniquely African perspective – what if we were walking, alone at night, lost in the African desert pondering the mysteries of life and the secrets of our universe? What if we climbed that hill to discover more? What world would be revealed to us?”

Here, a member of the Kruiper family drinks water out of one of these eggs. I could tell that using this ancient technique for storing water held great importance to him.”

FACEBOOK CATEGORY WINNER TRAVEL WINNER The “FACEBOOK FAVOURITE” – as voted by AG’s Facebook community: Beverly Houwing - “Star trails over Chapman’s baobab” (Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, Botswana) Photographer’s comment: “Chapman’s baobab is named after James Chapman (1831-1872) who was an explorer of Southern Africa and came across this vast baobab on July 10, 1852 while traversing the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. This is an iconic tree that David Livingstone and Frederick Selous camped under during their explorations, and one of the three largest baobabs in Africa. I got an opportunity to capture this tree under moonless skies as a long exposure with stars trailed through it. Sadly, on the 7th January, 2016, it fell to the ground. This tree holds a special place in Africa’s amazing history.”

Black Betty – all darkness and light Designer Kristen Weixelbaumer is the fabulous force behind Black Betty. “Who is Black Betty?” you ask. She could be you.

B

ehind Black Betty is Kristin Weixelbaumer, an extraordinary Capetonian jeweller whose brand at only four years old has already jumped the ocean

to take on cities like Colorado. Look out world, here comes Black Betty. Johannesburg-born Kristin grew up in Cape Town, where she describes life as a Tomboy trawling and exploring the beaches and mountains. No girl’s stuff for her. But she was always creative: “My father’s an architect, my mother an interior designer, so creativity was probably inevitable…from fine art to photography, darkroom processing to graphic design, always finding ways to feed the creative juices.” Kristin studied Art Direction and Graphic Design at Cape Town’s Red & Yellow Advertising School, and followed it with yoga and crystal healing, her path to jewellery. It wasn’t her first foray there, for she, Tomboy or not, had - like most young girls - explored and lost herself for hours in the treasure chest which was her mother’s jewellery box. But it was only after studying various stones and their properties that she knew this was what she wanted to do with her life. Kristin’s outlook on jewellery and the creation of it, doesn’t revolve solely about pretty things. She’s a strongly cerebral jeweller, and her process and pieces originate from an inner journey. She has strong views with little fear of expressing them: “Mainstream jewellery has become all about symmetry, flawlessness and a misconstrued obsession with perfection, an industry inspired by artifice as opposed to the epiphany of observing beauty in its natural, imperfect state. “I’m inspired by natural beauty found in simplicity, imperfection and the mysterious. I’m trying to understand the intimacy and complex

relationship

between

beauty

and imperfection, and the importance of preserving and presenting it in its natural state.” She relates strongly to the words of late legendary musician Leonard Cohen, ‘There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.” The main aim behind Kristin’s jewellery is to keep it delicate, organic, raw and personal: “We only work with precious and semi precious metals and stones so we are then working with (and honouring) the earth and its beautiful materials, gold, silver and natural gemstones.”

had to be corrected. Thanks to Lena`s efforts, the Aachen Marien Hospital carried out the operation at no charge, and the flights were sponsored by Air Namibia. Today, we are going to the kindergarten in Katutura. Katutura is populated by a deprived community forcibly moved here in the 1950s. Translated into English, Katutura means, “a place where we don't want to live". But Lena happily lives and works in Katutura, and so too, do the volunteers who go to Namibia to participate in the work of ‘Wadadee Cares’. Several volunteers from Germany currently work there. It is Lena who assigns the helpers to the different projects - she looks after them regularly and looks forward to hearing their impressions. With a big hello, Lena is welcomed as the children crowd around her. Just like Lena, Petra knows many of the children by name; she knows their origins and their fates. Nearly 350 children are romping about on the dusty playground of the kindergarten and preschool called ‘Love Your Neighbour’. Pastor Alida Swartz runs the lively commotion, together with her four grown daughters. Lena praises her saying, "What Alida is achieving here is just sensational", and in confirmation, Lena gets a warm hug from Alida. A basis is established here for a better education leading to a better future. English is taught at big blackboards with nearly 100 children sitting in the classroom each morning when Mary teaches them. At noon, we head to the orphanage named ‘Hope Village’, in which 80 children have currently found a caring home. Lena knows the ritual of welcome: within seconds, the children succeed in climbing into her car. "Great to see them so happy", Lena says and can hardly move with children clinging to her arms and legs. Despite the enrolment for the new semester – which has just begun after the break – Lena is not by a long way into her ‘study mode’. Now she has the support of her mother, she wants to get a lot of work done: she wants to make progress with building the soup kitchen for the kindergarten playground and hopes to arrange a meeting to develop a cooperation with the Waldorf Kindergarten in Windhoek. Geovanni may stay with Lena and Petra at the Wadadee house for the weekend. When he is brought to the kindergarten on Monday, his knowledge of German will have improved: to Lena’s declaration "Hab Dich lieb" – which means, “I love you” – he promptly answers, "Ich Dich auch", which means, “I love you too.” 48|

Botswana’s wet season is luscious and abundant with new life. There are hundreds of baby impala, zebra, eland and giraffe. Every new visit I make during November and March reinforces itself as my most favourite time in the bush, which begs the question… what makes this time of year so incredible? For me, it’s the smells, colours and energy of the bush, and my visit in February did not disappoint!

seeds ready to germinate on the nutrient-rich mounds. The conditions are perfect for new life to sprout. And so termite mounds have a cement-like consistency held together by massive jackelberry, camel-thorn and marula trees. DumaTau Camp in the Linyanti complemented our visit to the Okavango Delta in many ways. Designed with a stylish early explorer theme, DumaTau’s iconic sunset deck floats on the lagoon – and as African sunsets go, they can be pretty amazing in these parts. . In fact, coupled with a summer storm, sunsets here can cause a hitch in your breath in response to its sheer beauty. On a particular summer’s afternoon, one side of the sky was a brilliant dazzle of orange, pink, purple and red and the other a fury of grey, black and indigo. We sat on the deck with some personalised cocktails feeling very content and quite alive, what with all the colours and sounds around us. Walking and experiencing the bush at eye-level is a mustdo!

I’ve done walks in some amazing safari destinations

across southern Africa but this particular walk turned out to be one of the most memorable. It started out as a pretty regular walk learning about the various flora and seeing some plains game. About an hour and half into it, our guide told us to stop. Just around a termite mound was a lone wild dog, who could sense us but was a little unsure as to what humans were doing here. Since generally where there is one dog, there are sure to be more, and they’re always on the move; we headed back to the vehicle – just a little way away – the better to follow them. Sure enough, as we came around a corner, there was another wild dog, running, jumping and whining as he greeted his buddy. Each time my memory recalls that day there’s this big goofy grin on my face. The green season in the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti is the time for one’s senses to come alive. You’re constantly reminded of your slowing pulse when you’re away from the constant distraction of deadlines and responsibilities, yet there’s a simultaneous quickening of the heart when you catch sight of one of the many wonders of nature. There’s that kid-like glee when you safari in one of the world’s most precious wonders and last true remaining wilderness areas. Wilderness Safaris is Africa’s leading authentic and sustainable ecotourism company. The operation began 35 years ago in Botswana and has since expanded into eight African countries, including Namibia. Visit www.wildernesssafaris.com for more information on their luxury safari lodges. Botswana is a perfect complement to the deserts of Namibia. Air Namibia flies into Botswana’s capital, Gaborone. A short regional flight will take visitors to Maun from where the Jewel of the Kalahari can be accessed on light air transfers.

Not all wines are made the same. With the Michelangelo award winning wines you don’t have to worry — the quality is guaranteed. Having recently celebrated its 20th year with a record number of 1892 entries, it is South Africa’s largest wine competition, and the only one that is considered truly international. This, together with the use of the international 100–point scoring system, and the fact that only one third of the entries are awarded medals by a panel of world renowned, international wine judges, makes the Michelangelo not only extremely competitive, but also results in importers and distributors asking for — and often insisting on — Michelangelo award medals on the bottles.

Fullback, the one-ton pickup from Fiat Professional Fullback completes the already vast range of Fiat Professional vehicles and marks another step forward in its history that started in 1903, since then it has been synonymous with competence, reliability and innovation

A distinctive style and contents The Fullback has sporty proportions with its forward extending cab and a reduced front overhang. The front has a definite touch of Italian style in line with the new stylistic mark of the brand. The sides have distinct ribs that streamline the body and the rear is well connected to the cab. Perfectly in line with the best of the competition in terms of configuration, dimensions and engines, Fiat Professional's new pick-up in South Africa will be available with two engine options on the double cab - a 2.5-litre diesel with a power output from 100kW to 131kW, whilst the single cab comes standard with a 2.4-litre petrol engine that delivers 97kW. The petrol engine is provided with a five -speed manual gearbox, the diesel engine offer is aligned to the best competition and can be combined, according to each market’s offer, with a manual gearbox or automatic transmission, both with five speeds. Transmissions and suspensions Fullback is available in a 4X2 version (rear-wheel drive) in the single and double cab, as well as in a 4X4 version (allwheel drive) in the double cab; the latter will certainly be the one most appreciated by those who, for work reasons, need to reach areas that are far away from asphalted roads

We are convinced that the harmonious colours of nature and its reflections on the water of the Zambezi will be a unique and memorable holiday experience.” The Zambezi Mubala Lodge is currently being rebuilt on the site of what used to be Kalizo Lodge, and accommodation can be booked as from 1 November 2017. Eighteen spacious double chalets and two family chalets, all en suite and air conditioned, offer breath-taking views of the river landscape, inviting you to linger. There are also six tented chalets with

NAMIBIAN HOUSEHOLD FINANCIAL SITUATION & SATISFACTION

LETS TALK HOUSEHOLD FINANCE. In 2016 Old Mutual Namibia conducted a Savings and Investment Monitor in Namibia, revealing important trends: • A greater portion of the respondents (42%; rating of 1 to 4) were less satisfied with their household’s financial position • 72% of the respondents did however feel that their financial position will improve in the next 6 months and just over half felt their position was better than what it was a year ago • Most are battling to find a good balance between work and life, yet feel their finances are properly organized and plan up to ten years in advance • They have an eagerness to learn about financial matters and find financial services confusing. They want to learn more about saving • When saving most people were saving for a child’s education or to buy food, followed by saving to buy a specific item • Respondents were mostly saving more after receiving their annual bonus • The majority of the respondents are saving up to N$5,000 per month • The majority of the respondents had a savings account followed by medical aid and a funeral policy as well as life cover and/or a current/cheque account • About 54% of the respondents are confident they can manage their own savings and investments • 38% of the respondents felt they were saving less than a year ago due to inflation and expenses increasing • 36% of the respondents said they were saving more as their income had increased • 26% indicated they were saving the same, because of no salary or income increases • Only 52% indicated saving was a priority right now in their lives • 56% indicated they have enough left to save after covering monthly expenses

Tip #3 | What is a Micro-moment? Google more and more frequently talks about so-called “micro-moments”, or “moments of decision”.

But what does this actually mean? It means reaching the right person at the right time with the right statement with each individual contact. Today there are no classic “online-sessions” like there were a year or two ago. We don’t “go online” anymore - we live online. We are permanently connected to the world through the internet. This applies especially to our international guests. The increasing spread of mobile devices makes life easy. At any time we have the power to do anything we like at our fingertips. We can search for information, book or buy things instantly. Time and location are no longer factors. It has never been easier to reach the right person at the right point in time with the right news with each individual contact. We not only use the internet for emails and to stay in contact with friends, we also experience moments online with intent and enthusiasm. Moments where we search for information, discover new things and are willing to make an instant decision. These are the “moments of decision” or the “micro-moments”. We all know them: the “I-want-to-look-at-this-moments”, the “I-want-to-do-this-now-moments”, the “I-have-to-findthis-moments” and the “I-want-to-have-this-now-moments”. These are moments, in which we expect our wishes and yearnings to be fulfilled immediately. Now. Not an hour or even days later. If it’s not instant, the moment is missed and with this, potential turnover for your business is won or lost.

How can these moments be used optimally? 1.

Identify the relevant moments of your goal group. For

the tourism they are the “I-want-to-go-there” or “I-want-todo-this-now” moments. 2.

Fulfil the client’s demands immediately.

An email

answer 1 or 2 days later is no longer satisfactory for most potential clients. The “moment” was missed. 3.

Make all moments of decision measurable. This way

you can recognise whether you reached your goal group at the right moment and whether a moment was also successfully translated into a booking. rainmaker, as certified agency for Google and TrustYou, can assist you in analysing your goal group, market segments and products. We can get your digital presence in shape, so that a visitor to your digital presence becomes your client.

restaurants, pubs and wineries to cater for every delight. A perfect way to spend a cooler winter's day is to explore the variety of bustling indoor markets in and around the city, like the City Bowl Market or the Bay Harbour Market, or do a food and wine pairing at one of the world-class wine estates in the area. Just around the corner – literally walking distance from the V&A Waterfront is Mouille Point, with its fantastic promenade, delicatessen shops and restaurants. A newcomer there is the delectable Lily’s Restaurant – a must do. An absolute must, is to go for a cooking class where, under the kind guidance of top chefs (and superb wines) guests join the chefs in preparing their own 5-course meals. This simply redefines a fun night out – for families, couples and colleagues. Make a booking at Ginger & Lime Cooking Courses, and join Denise Levy and her band of merry chefs for a truly remarkable experience in their breath-taking colonial home in Bantry Bay (http://www.gingerandlime.co.za/) The cooking lessons are hands on, the wine is superb, the conversation invigorating, the laughter absolutely infectious… and the food that you helped prepare – to die for!

6. Whale-watching Season July to September is the peak calving season for whales. Visitors are guaranteed many opportunities to spot the worlds’ biggest mammal, either from up close on various boat excursions, or from the coastline. We recommend a scenic drive (from self-drive to Harley Davidson rentals to City Sightseeing Red top Buses, to UBER cabs) along the False Bay Coast. Simon’s Town with its delightful harbour is a whale watching hub, and so is Hermanus, which is considered the whale capital of the world! TERRACE BAY AND OKAUKUEJO’S RESTAURANT GETS IMPROVED

week," says Mrs Zelna Hengari, our Managing Director.

We have undertaken to improve our Terrace Bay resort, in addition to modernising our Okaukuejo restaurant. The upgrades are aimed at bringing the facilities up to the standard of our other renovated establishments and to ensure customer satisfaction. These upgrades will in no way hamper the resorts’ daily operations. "When it came to the restaurant in Okaukuejo, we felt the need to give it a facelift considering that the last time it was renovated was more than 10 years ago. In Terrace Bay, the upgrades are meant to improve the rooms with the sole aim of boosting guest experience. The renovations in Terrace Bay are currently at an advanced stage and all rooms should be completed in the coming

Mrs Hengari is very happy with the upgrades and progress happening at these two facilities. Both resorts are popular tourist destinations, with Terrace Bay being an angler's paradise, offering unsurpassed coastal experience. It is situated in the Skeleton Coast Park, whilst Okaukuejo is situated in the Etosha National Park. Okaukuejo is most famous for its floodlit waterhole where visitors can observe a variety of wildlife at close quarters. We will continue with upgrades at various resorts to keep our facilities up to the industry’s standard. “Our guests are the number one priority and we want to assure them that we do appreciate their business and will always strive to enhance their experience at our facilities,” says Mrs Hengari.

We partner with employers to enhance the lives of their most valuable assets: Their employees So, when employers asked us: Do you know how to help my employees provide for their families when they are no longer able to, and do you know how to give them peace of mind and financial freedom? We answered by: creating insurance solutions that are simple, affordable and relevant to their needs. Because when you’re asked to change a reality, you cannot answer with theory or opinion. You take your knowledge and you put it to work. And that is the advantage we offer, every day.

Preserving the legacy you’ve worked so hard for

V

We know that you’ve worked hard to provide for your family over the years, from building your career, buying a house and putting food on the table to taking care of all life’s expenses, you’ve built a legacy that’s worth preserving. So, when life takes an unexpected turn for the worst, your focus should be

on your family’s wellbeing, and not your finances. That’s where our comprehensive Platinum Life Plan can make a real difference to you and your family. You can get up to N$15 million Life Cover and have complete peace of mind knowing that if you were to pass away or become unable to provide for

your loved ones due to illness or disability, your family will receive a lump sum to help them through this difficult time. Visit www.liberty.co.na or call +264 61 294 2343. Terms and Conditions Apply.
