NEW ANTI-HATE CRIME CAMPAIGN FROM SAATCHI & SAATCHI REVEALED A new Home Office campaign by Saatchi & Saatchi was launched in late 2018, designed to tackle hate crime issues in the UK. The campaign, which was developed in conjunction with several organisations including the Crown Prosecution Service, uses hard-hitting images of hate crimes being perpetrated with the faces of the perpetrators covered with e-fit pictures.

Highlighting Hate Crime as an Offence

Increasing Victim Confidence

The Saatchi & Saatchi campaign was released amid an increase in hate crime incidences in the UK, highlighting the wide variety of people being targeted. In a bid to deter perpetrators, the campaign illustrates that acts such as shouting racially-inspired abuse or targeting someone because of their religion or sexual preference is a crime, not just offensive.

The campaign is further designed to help make victims feel more secure in reporting hate crimes when they occur, demonstrating the types of behaviours that are against the law. Images communicate the message that the government takes hate crime in all its forms very seriously, and reassures communities that they will be listened to should they experience or witness any form of abuse.
