The National Association for People Abused in Childhood (NAPAC) works to provide support for adults in the UK who are affected by abuse or neglect that they experienced in childhood. Abuse and neglect can have long-term effects that are difficult to come to terms with, many of which can last long into adulthood.

2 The NAPAC Mission NAPAC works to provide a range of direct support services to survivors of abuse, including a free helpline. The organisation also helps to ensure survivors can access all the information they need about where to get appropriate help, as well as working with partner organisations to increase the availability and effectiveness of that support.

1 Effects of Childhood Abuse NAPAC helps survivors of abuse deal with a variety of long-term effects, which may include depression, PTSD, anxiety, addictions, learning difficulties, behavioural issues, and struggling to form meaningful relationships. There are millions of adults in the world today who are still struggling with the after-effects of abuse or neglect that took place years or even decades previously.

Since 2012, NAPAC has worked in partnership with the NSPCC to help provide support to survivors of child abuse 24/7, 365 day a year.
