As well as live gigs across 20 different venues, the Festival offers a range of family friendly workshops and a county wide competition for amateur photographers.

ME T H O D
First, mix all dry ingredients together with the olive oil to form your marinade.
Dice the tofu into fairly chunky pieces and marinade for 24 hours. Bring the veg stock up to a simmer
• 400g Firm Tofu
and add the quinoa and cook for 10 minutes.
• 1 Tbsp Ground Coriander

When Chris Jaeger took over Huntingdon Hall in 1995, the venue was on the brink, with mounting debts and no viable future. Chris was given the mammoth task of turning things around and within 18 months he had done just that. Debts were settled, local authority funding secured, and the box office was back in business. In 2002 he performed the same
magic on the struggling Swan Theatre and a year later started Worcester
Festival, which is still going strong today, as well as launching a rep
theatre at The Commandery and Shakespeare at the Cathedral.
Worcester Live, as his arts portfolio is now known, is entering another
exciting phase as a new venue opens in the city’s historic Porcelain Works. The Henry Sandon Hall will be a
small but flexible venue, suitable for film, talks, acoustic music, ceilidhs,
children’s shows, craft and antiques
fairs, exhibitions, auctions and more. (For more details see page 37).
Chris envisions that the addition of this new versatile venue will be of huge value to the city.
