« Re-accreditation for Information Systems and Computer Engineering Programs»
The College of Information Technology at Ajman University of Science & Technology has been re-accredited by UAE Ministry of Higher Education& Research for two of the four programs it currently offers. The reaccredited programs are the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems. The second program has been tuned and improved and will be offered in two concentrations; E- Business and Project Management. Dr. Hakim Khali, Dean of the IT College, pointed out that obtaining reaccreditation from the Commission of Academic Accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research is a natural outcome since the college adopts up-to-date curricula and implements the highest standards of quality assurance in academic outcomes. Dr. Hakim expressed his profound gratitude to AUST management for their effort in providing all the support and facilitates to boost the college›s academic performance. He also thanked the college›s faculty for working hard during the previous period to obtain reaccreditation.
ITBulletin Scientific Trips for IT students in Fujairah & Ajman Campuses The College of Information Technology in Fujairah and Ajman Campuses organized scientific trips for its students to many places: GITEX-2011 IT exhibition in Dubai, Google Day -g|uae, and Open Day to Masdar Institute. Trip to Gitex-2011: This trip was organized in October 2011 for both Ajman and Fujairah campuses. GITEX exhibition is one of the largest exhibitions of Information Technology in the region, and the college insists on encouraging students to visit such specialized exhibitions in order to see the latest trends in the field of Information Technology, and to communicate with the leading companies in their specialization which help them to find excellent employment opportunities upon graduation.
Google Day – g|uae: IT students of Ajman campus visited the Google day in October 2011 to learn about the latest technologies. Each day of the 2-day conference catered to a different audience, from developers to computer science students, digital advocates to entrepreneurs, women in technology to tech marketers. During these two days they conducted a wide variety of sessions delivered by a cross section of international Googlers. They were there for interaction with students, answer questions, and brainstorm ideas.

Masdar Institute Open Day The IT college students visited Masdar Institute in their open day in December 2011 accompanied by Dr. Mosa’ab Hunaity. Masdar Institute of Science and Technology is the world’s first graduatelevel university dedicated to providing real-world solutions to issues of sustainability. App Development seminar: The IT College and Microsoft organized a seminar about “Windows Phone 7 App Development” on December, 2011. Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) is a different kind of phone, architected to put the focus on end users and the people important to them. Developers on the Windows Phone platform build compelling, connected experiences that enhance the phone and integrate tightly with the end-user experience. The Microsoft Student Partner, Masoud Dorrikhteh, conducted a session to teach students how to build the first application and he covered tooling and extensibility, and the unique “Metro” design of Windows Phone and how with Silverlight your apps can feel to the end-user as if they are native. At the end of the seminar Microsoft offered students free membership to “App Hub” and all the tools needed.

اليوم المفتوح لمعهد مصدر زار طلبة كلية تكنولوجيا املعلومات معهد مصدر الذي نظم يوما مفتوحا في ديسمبر ،2011مبعية الدكتور مصعب احلنيطي .ويعد معهد مصدر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا اجلامعة أول جامعة للدراسات العليا في العالم مكرسة لتقدمي حلول واقعية لقضايا االستدامة .ويتمثل هدف املعهد في أن يصبح مؤسسة بحثية راقية ،تعنى في األساس بقضايا الطاقة والتقنيات املستدامة املتطورة. ويسعى معهد مصدر إلى أن يكون الرائد في مجال تكنولوجيا الطاقة املتجددة والنظيفة ،من خالل توفير بيئة اختبار عاملية لتطوير بيئة قابلة للحياة ،وحلول الطاقة املستدامة ،وتوفير البحوث التطبيقية. يقع معهد مصدر في مدينة مصدر ،وهي الناشئة العاملية للتكنولوجيا النظيفة التي تهدف إلى أن تكون واحدة من أكثر املدن احلضرية تطورا في العالم ،والتي هي مدعومة بالطاقة املتجددة .وهذا يعطي فرصة فريدة للطلبة للعيش والتعلم في «مختبر حي». ملزيد من التفاصيل يرجى زيارة موقعwww.masdar.ac.ae :
ندوة حول تطوير تطبيقات :Windows Phone 7 حصلت كلية تكنولوجيا املعلومات في جامعة عجمان للعلوم والتكنولوجيا على جتديد االعتماد األكادميي لبرنامجني اثنني من برامجها األربعة املطروحة .والبرنامجان اللذان حصال على إعادة االعتماد من قبل هيئة االعتماد األكادميي بوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي اإلماراتية هما بكالوريوس العلوم في هندسة احلاسوب وبكالوريوس العلوم في نظم املعلومات ،الذي يُطرح هذه املرة مبسارين جديدين هما األعمال اإللكترونية وإدارة املشاريع. وفي هذا الصدد صرح الدكتور حكيم خالي ،عميد كلية تكنولوجيا املعلومات ،قائالً: «إن احلصول على االعتماد األكادميي من قبل وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي يعتبر نتيجة حتمية للمستوى املتقدم الذي تعتمده الكلية إلنتاج مخرجات تعليمية ذات جودة عالية تواكب التطور العلمي ومتطلبات سوق العمل ،وهو انعكاس للجهود املبذولة والتحسني املستمر الذي نهجته جامعة عجمان على مر السنوات املاضية». وبهذه املناسبة و ّجه الدكتور حكيم خالي الشكر والتقدير إلدارة اجلامعة على اجلهود احلثيثة لالرتقاء مبستوى األداء في هذا الصرح العلمي الرائد وألعضاء الهيئة التدريسية في الكلية الذين عملوا بجد وإخالص خالل الفترة املاضية للحصول على االعتراف األكادميي ،مما انعكس إيجابا ً على مخرجات اجلامعة ورسالتها العلمية والبحثية واألكادميية .يذكر أن اعتماد هذه التخصصات مت للمرة األولى عام ،2006ويسري االعتماد اجلديد حتى سنة .2016
نظمت الكلية وشركة مايكروسوفت ندوة حول تطوير تطبيقات Windows Phone 7في ديسمبر .2011وويندوز فون ( 7.5ماجنو) هو نوع مختلف من الهواتف ،صمم خصيصا لفئة املستخدمني والناس الذين يتواصلون معهم. وقد صمم املبرمجون املتخصصون في هذا النوع من الهواتف جتارب مثيرة التي من شأنها تطوير الهاتف النقال وتقريبها أكثر من املستخدم النهائي .وقد أجرى الطالب مسعود دورختة ،وهو ممثل للطلبة في شركة مايكروسوفت ،دورة لتعليم الطالب كيفية إنشاء التطبيق األول حيث حتدث عن األدوات املستخدمة واالستخدامات املمكنة ،وكيف ميكن للطالب تصميم تطبيقاتهم اخلاصة مع هاتف ويندوز .Silverlight في نهاية الندوة منحت مايكروسوفت الطلبة املشاركني عضوية مجانية في « »App Hubوجميع األدوات الالزمة.

الزيارات العلمية لطلبة كلية تكنولوجيا المعلومات نظمت كلية تكنولوجيا املعلومات مبقريها في الفجيرة وعجمان رحالت علمية لطلبتها إلى عدة أماكن منها ،معرض لتكنولوجيا GITEX-2011 املعلومات بدبي ،ويوم – Google ،g|uaeواليوم املفتوح إلى معهد مصدر. زيارة معرض Gitex-2011 نظمت الكلية ه��ذه الرحلة لطلبتها في أكتوبر 2011لكال املقرين بعجمان والفجيرة .ويعد معرض GITEXمن أكبر معارض تكنولوجيا املعلومات في املنطقة .وحترص الكلية على تشجيع الطلبة لزيارة مثل هذه املعارض املتخصصة من أجل التعرف على أحدث التطورات في مجال تكنولوجيا املعلومات ،والتواصل مع الشركات الرائدة في تخصصهم مما يسهل للطلبة إيجاد فرص عمل متميزة بعد التخرج.

زار طلبة تكنولوجيا املعلومات في جامعة عجمان املؤمتر اخلاص بـGoogle في أكتوبر 2011ملعرفة املزيد عن أحدث التقنيات .وقد استهدف كل يوم من يومي املؤمتر جمهورا مختلفا من املطورين وطلبة علوم احلاسوب وأصحاب املشاريع ،واملرأة في مجال التكنولوجيا ومسوقي التكنولوجيا .وقد أجريت خالل هذين اليومني مجموعة واسعة من الدورات التي قدمها قطاع عريض من مستخدمي Googleالدوليني ،الذين جاءوا للتفاعل مع الطلبة واإلجابة على أسئلتهم وتبادل األفكار معهم.
