The Main Reason You Should Not Wait to Buy The monthly mortgage payment on a median priced home in the US has fluctuated quite a bit in the last 25 years; due in a large part to interest rates. Now is a great time to buy before rates (and prices) go up again!

Dickson Realty’s August 2015 Newsletter Market Update Purchase mortgage application at the second highest level in two years. A key component is the remaining low interest rates. Mortgage rates have been trending up since early January, cooling refinances as our summer begins. The problems in Greece and China have renewed interest in U.S. Treasuries. Those problems could keep long term interest rates low for a while, helping home sales throughout the crucial summer/fall season. According to Fannie Mae the trend of upward rates will continue. However gradually, a rise from around 4% on 30 year fixes to about 4.5% by end of 2015. Improving prices and consumer confidence are giving many sellers a reason to look favorably on the climate for selling. Pending home sales are at a nine-year high and inventories remain low. Please call us if you have any questions on purchases or refinances throughout California or Nevada. The Rice Team @ Guild Mortgage Team@TheRiceTeam.com 530-582-9991
