Dickson Realty’s May 2017 Newsletter Based on a one-year review of sales in specific areas (ending March 31, 2017), the average for 'months of inventory' is slightly higher than what the industry considers a 'balanced' market. When there is a 6-month inventory, sellers and buyers are typically at an even advantage. If you currently own property in our area, we'd be happy to provide you with a real estate review for your specific parcel(s).

The Sun is Shining & Rates are Low After one of the heaviest winters in years, the snow is finally beginning to melt and the sun is shining once again. This season provided for epic outdoor adventures, but also buried the local real estate inventory in a thick blanket of powder. As our homes begin to reemerge once again, some will be desperate to sell and others eager to buy. Our team of Tahoe/Truckee locals share the goal of helping people in our community make homeownership a reality along with spreading the love to those out of town buyers who long to make new memories in the area. At this time, rates are expected to remain low if the Trump administration is not successful in getting progrowth policies passed. Right now is an excellent time to lock in a rate on a purchase or refinance as rates are in the low 4’s for 30 year conforming fixed rate loans with no points. The Rice Team is always available to talk about your specific situation and see how we can help assist you with your financing needs.
