The total number of homes available for purchase in the Reno-Sparks region at the end of the year was 842. This is down 35% from November, the lowest available inventory in the past 6 months.

2015 outlook FOR THE RENO/SPARKS MARKET All Reno/Sparks areas (Area 100).

As we look forward to what our market will look like in 2015 we see nothing but positives. Interest rates continue to be at historic lows. Even with a projected increase from the Federal Reserve on the horizon, rates will still be lower than they have been in over 30 years. There are also several new lending programs from Nevada’s Housing Division that help buyer’s get into homes, such as the “Home at Last” 4% grant towards down payment assistance.

Average Days on Market rose slightly in December, up to 111 from 97 days in November. The number of properties sold in December rose to 511, up slightly from November’s 506. Median Sales Price in December was $262,000, which is up slightly from November and up 5% from July and August.
