Dickson Realty’s June 2017 Newsletter The Current Political Climate and Mortgage Rates With the uncertainty of the Trump administration along with the current global political climate, people are weary about the effect politics will have on the mortgage industry, or more specifically, mortgage rates. Due to concern about what is happening on Capitol Hill, people are moving their money into mortgagebacked securities. This is because mortgage-backed securities guarantee a certain rate of return, which is why investors choose to put money there in precarious times. In the midst of uncertainty, one thing we do know is that rates remain historically low, and now is an excellent time to purchase or refinance your home so that you are able to lock in a desirable rate. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to The Rice Team if you have any questions about your specific scenario. Our team is well-educated on a wide variety of loan programs, and we pride ourselves on the fact that we always make sure to find the loan program that is the best fit for our clients, not necessarily the easiest fix for us. Feel free to contact us at (530) 582-9991 or TeamRice@GuildMortgage.net. We are here and happy to assist with your financial needs!
