Agents who actually viewed the material inventoried stated that there was one ~inox light meter but no Minox camera. ' The report of A RCBERT P. GEMBERLING dated 12/10/63, at Dallas, Texas page 4G reflects an interview with MARINA OSWr. _on 12/2/63, at which time she stated that she and OSWA ad two cameras, one Russian and 1 American.

Dear Alan, I talked yesterday with Michael Paine about the seven Minox shots you sent me and he doubts he took them. But to be certain, I am sending him copies. I also said I would try to get him copies of the other 20 or so shots taken from the other Minox roll. Could you make some and send them to him at 22 Glenburnie Road, Roslindale, Mass. 02131? While you are at it, could you send me some of those, too ? Paine was in Korea in the army about 1951 and 1952 and made a trip to Europe after he got out a couple of years later. The Minox camera that FBI agents took from Paine's house !which was his without a doubt) was manufactured between 1949 and 1951 according to the Minox Corp. So Paine, who bought it second hand, probably didn't have it when he was in the army and possibly not when he made the trip to Europe. A BBC television newsman who has traveled extensively took one look at the shots you sent me and said he was almost certain the barbed wire scenes were at the US Naval Base in Guantanemo, Cuba. He said he has never seen a barbed wire enclosure quite like that in any other part of the world . He also said the military pillbox hats worn by the military personnel are the type worn at the naval base.

Yours truly,

Earl Golz
