KEVIN AKERS design + imagery

Kevin Akers is a graphic designer with extensive experience in corporate identity/ logo development, packaging and collateral. His goal is to create imagery with intelligence and convey content with style, a process he calls “Design with Personality.” Having designed upwards of 100 corporate identity systems, he is well-versed in creating and implementing an effective brand. Kevin is a graduate of California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Applied Art and Design. His twenty-five years of experience in the field includes stints at several Bay Area design and packaging firms. He was senior designer with the international public relations firm of Burson-Marsteller, Kevin established his design studio in 1993. The magic of design prompted him to write and produce a book for Chronicle Books titled All Wrapped Up! - Groovy Gift Wrap of the 1960s. The book is a visual survey of more than 400 wrapping paper designs from the swinging sixties. His interest in Ireland, San Francisco and the nature of family culminated in the authorship of his first novel, The Dunnes of Brittas. www.dunnesofbrittas.com
