Many of us have a straightforward idea of what a “nurse” is; however, being a nurse encompasses a broad range
of education, skills, and services. Featured on this cover is certified nurse-midwife and advanced practice registered
nurse Jennifer Hoadley, who owns Birds and Bees Midwifery, which means she’s in the unique position of balancing
business ownership with healthcare. Whether working in their own practice, at a hospital, or in a traveling position,
