The Center for Business Solutions (CBS) at Albany Tech offers the Georgia Real Estate Salesperson Pre-License course. CBS and this course have been approved by the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC). This course meets the requirements of Georgia law. This in-classroom live course will feature 75 hours of instruction covering all subject areas required by the GREC to prepare students to sit for the state licensing exam. Instructor is Sal Giovingo, a licensed Real Estate Broker and Instructor. CLASS DATES/TIME: August 17 - December 14, 2021. Tuesday & Thursday nights, 6:30-9:30 pm. FORKLIFT OPERATOR’S TRAINING
Scholarships may be available to those who qualify. See grant information on the back page. Receive operator training in accordance with OSHA Standard 1910.178. The program fully covers the requirements to be an efficient and safe forklift operator. Our Forklift Operator Certification courses are now offered in a hybrid format – partly online and partly in-person. See the schedule for Fall 2021 below. All courses are offered in 6-day sessions. The first five days (MondayFriday), the student will have access to the online course, which consists of a safety video and test. Students log-in and view the material and test at their convenience during that 5-day window. When the student passes the online test, he/she will come on Saturday at a pre-set appointment time for driving instruction. Students who pass both the online test and driving test will receive a certification card that is good for three years. The enrollment fee is $125. To enroll, contact our office at 229-430-0557. Fall 2021 course: September 13 – November 12 Driver’s Ed for Teens to fulfill Joshua’s Law. Our Driver’s Ed program includes the 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction required for Joshua’s Law. This class is $350. The state of Georgia has some grant funding which may provide financial assistance for this class. COMPUTER TUTOR
ADULT DRIVING INSTRUCTION
We offer 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training for adults age 18 and older with certified driving instructors. Students meet for three 2-hour driving sessions and are given the opportunity to drive in a variety of locales and traffic situations. Instructors go over rules of the road and practice parking. Our instructors schedule the driving appointments on days/times that are convenient for the student. This program is $300. For more information or to register, call 229-430-0557. Or, perhaps you’re looking for one-on-one help with a program or application. In all these situations, CBS’s Computer Tutor program can help. Meet one-on-one in our computer lab with an experienced computer instructor for customized instruction. The cost is $40/hour with a 2-hour minimum.
