Studio 46: Untamed
Part 2 Works | The Sanctuary of Silence Albertus Magnus Yudhistira | 755406
The Sanctuary of Silence We rarely give ourselves the time to rest and understand ourselves better. We rarely give ourselves the time to hone our human ability to empathise and imagine. In this fast-paced environment, we seldom have the time to pause. Silence is often the way to pause, observe, and understand things better. How then architecture and silence could help people to understand themselves better and find what they have been looking for?

Instead of giving us more time, rapid development of technologies and access to information have given us less time to rest and contemplate.
Decorations are distractions that bound us to the bubble of of ideas and thoughts. By minimising unnecessary elements, one could embrace the nothingness and liberate himself from the preconstructed dictum.
Silence is a pilgrimage of slow progression and journey. The aim is to embrace the procession of leaving the noisy ground land to the isolated pinnacle.
The transition from the entrance to the main area is a space of void, which intensify the understanding of our relationship with nature.
The architecture of silence is a way to stop and release all the “noises. It is a progression from the noisy urbanocene to the tranquil silence that heightened the less dominant senses.
