About me
hello! I am a final year Master of
Architecture student. I am passionate about architecture and love to learn and design by thinking conceptually and creatively. When designing, I am always attracted by innovative and meaningful precedents which influenced me to design innovative yet unique but also dramatic architecture that tells a story. By starting with the word “what if ... ?, I challenge myself to experiment with various kinds of architecture. I also like to make handcrafted things. Besides that, photography is my full-time hobby. I love to work in a diverse environment. Moreover, I also able to work under pressure and become proficient in new stuff quickly. I am highly adaptable to a new social environment. Albertus Magnus Yudhistira albertusmyudhistira@gmail.com +61 413 277 502 bit.ly/AlbertusIssuu

building should be open to new ideas and people from diverse background. At the same time time, in terms of space, the building is also open as people can see what is happening on the other side, so it appreciates the idea of transparency. The second one is ‘flexible’: the space must be flexible to allow continuous change and adaptation to the changing needs and future changes. This flexibility is translated into a multipurpose bazaar where activities are happening on it.
project type / individual
The new school building itself will feature a boulevard-like thoroughfare in the middle that connects the old school building with the Royal Parade. The boulevard, or the bazaar, will be based on the principle of flexibility so it could accommodate multiple kinds of programs and activities such as music performance, art exhibition, workshops, weekly market, etc. in and around it. It is going to be the center of activity and open laboratory that creates opportunities for the informal evolution of knowledge.

As the Bazaar will accommodate multiple kinds of activities during the day, programs are then proposed to predict what the space is going to be look like during the daily school hours and after school hours. The diagram is divided into three main activities: daily use, workshop/exhibition/meeting use, and Parkville
Sunday Market use. One of the ways to achieve this flexibleness of the space is by having a convertible wall, which the door and wall can be folded to accommodate stalls and different kind of activities.

Film: The Road Not Taken Cast
Jesslyn Humardani
Duration 03:09 Concept
For this submission we were to make a film, animation or VR about one of our past design projects or an existing building/urban space. The film is about decision and regret, thus multiple cinematography techniques were used to show those ideas and the use of background sound and music strengthen the feeling and atmosphere. Inspired by the poem ‘The Road not Taken’ by Robert Frost, this film tries to reinterpret the poem by looking at the meanings through architecture and cinematography.

The fixed and stationary nature of chair is utilised to deliver the power and dominance of a character. Different camera angle and point of view can influence how dominant the character is. The camera ‘A’ from the diagram below is shooting from a lower angle, making Frederik looks taller and bigger, hence filling up the frame. Thus, it manipulates the audience’s perception of him and tells that Frederik is currently dominating the scene. The filming site was specifically chosen to help increase the tension and mood, followed by a one-point perspective compositional technique. This technique forces the audience to focus to a particular area of a frame, and the symmetry of it helps to divide the framing into the dominant one vs. the passive one.

Tadao Ando rarely changes the existing landscape of a site, so in the design, there are two separate buildings which are: the boathouse and the water feature. Some of the features are built underground to give space for existing trees, road and bike lane above it (not moved too far from the existing road). Architecture studio / high-rise construction
The Sprout This site lends itself to some of Melbourne’s best views, the historic Exhibition buildings, Carlton Gardens, Port Phillip Bay and the CBD skyline. The concept for the building design was inspired by the close proximity of the Carlton Gardens and the idea that the building and site should include a green space plaza. The tree-lined plaza

is seen as an extension of the surrounding gardens and an opportunity for people to enjoy healthy recreational spaces in the CBD. It also revitalises the quiter section of the Melbourne’s Hoddle Grid, especially in the intersection between La Trobe St and Exhibition St.
location / 300 Exhibition St., Melbourne
The connection with the gardens informed the organic form of the building development allowing it to sprout from the site. The building faces north-west on the site and makes use of the sun exposure. The western tower is higher to draw attention to the city. The diagrams below visually explain the position of the sun at 3 times during the day. The date chosen is the September Equinox when the day and night are approximately equal in duration.
