METHODOLOGY AND TARGET SELECTION • So
the Italian pilot study was conducted:
• in
part through online copies of our book downloaded by interested people
• in
part involving the parents of some dyslexic children who attend our Dyslexia Study Center (both in Fondazione Mileno and CORISS).

METHODOLOGY AND TARGET SELECTION • We
created an online questionnaire with Google Drive so each parent - or each website visitor - could fulfill our questionnaire by its own.
lunedì 11 marzo 13
METHODOLOGY AND TARGET SELECTION • At
the start of the pilot study, the Italian team performed a selection of the parents to whom we have provided detailed information about the eBook and the related project. This decision took into account the following parameters / factors: •
Interest in the topic because parents of dyslexic children;
•
Medium-high socio-cultural level;
•
Involvement of parents in previous Foundation Mileno’s activities

METHODOLOGY AND TARGET SELECTION •
The parents were initially invited to visit our website and download the book. Unfortunately they reported that their Internet access is not on daily basis so they preferred to read the book in a more classical printed format. So we printed about 15 copies and set a deadline for a complete reading and application of the book.
•
After the deadline for reading the book, the parents were asked to complete the online questionnaire but in this case too the majority of them (10) reported a preference for the printed version. Only three parents completed the online questionnaire.
•
Furthermore other parents spontaneously downloaded our eBook from the Foundation website or directly from the project website. They also spontaneously fulfill the online questionnaire so we were able to collect 20 responses.

CONCLUSIONS
• Comparing
the results of the three different main section of the book we can observe a slightly worst score for the last chapter about the European framework legislation (the higher score means more positive results). This is probably due to the particular argument that can be perceived a bit off-topic from the reader point of view.

CONCLUSIONS
• We
are really satisfied of our pilot study results because parents found the book useful and understandable. Furthermore they appreciated the book to the point of suggesting it to others so we can aspect a spontaneous viral dissemination in the next months.
