GRAHAM TYPEFACE Good typography is all around us. I was inspired to create a typeface based on the mural at my old subway stop in Brooklyn, New York.
REVIVAL OF A DISPLAY FACE Champ Fleury; Tory, Geofroy; ~1480. Translated into English and annotated by George B. Ives. Geofroy Tory’s Champ Fleury is a formal treatise on letters and letterforms, Tory’s book contains tantalizing hints of a larger and more comprehensive meaning and purpose to its enigmatic text and illustrations. At the end of his book he provides examples of letterforms. This is an update of his sample: Lettre Goffe, aultrement dicte Imperialle & Bullatique.

REVIVAL
While working on reviving and digitizing this typeface I had to update and revisit the letter forms A, D, K, and S, in order to differntiate them from other characters or to make them blend in with the over all estetic of the typeface.
The typeface was also lacking the letters I, V, and W so I created them while using other ltters as refrence.
