fragrance trend booklet We were given the brief to create a fragrance trend booklet. this entailed finding and researching recent and current trends within the fragrance market and finding examples. We also had to show how we thought that these trends could evolve in the upcoming seasons. I incorporated a modern and colourful design into my booklet as i wanted it to be fun to look at yet simple to read.

graphics booklet when we decided on our fragrance brand idea, we teamed up with the graphics students at nottingham trent university to create some prototypes of what our potential product could look like. this was a really interesting brief and gave us some experience in dealing and communicating with other creative sectors. we created a graphics brief which essentially communicated to the graphic designers the ideas and thoughts we had towards packaging. i had already designed a logo for the brand which we decided to stick with. the designs that came back to us were good but didn't reflect the brand in the way we wanted them to so i designed my own for the team.

concept presentation The concept presentation was shown in front of our lecturers and peers and demonstrated where we were in the production of the fragrance brand and where we could take it from this point on. creating the presentation was really useful as it gave us a focus point to realise what we had done already and what still needed to be completed or improved.

team launch presentation
The team launch presentation entailed the Be Wild team members to present our brand as a whole. we had to include our ideas for the promotions, the designs and the social strategy, this was a very effective task as it allowed each group to see how far they had come and realise hat goes into the production of a brand.

brand promo plan one of our final tasks was to create the promotional plan for the fragrance brand. I wanted my promo plan to have a fun and interactive design with an old school edge. to do this i used classic binders and made my own cardboard edge to give it a school project effect. I used lots of stock images which had lots of colour in them. I only put text on the A5 middle pages as i wanted the audience to be able to focus firstly on the strong visuals then on the written context. i thought this would make it more interesting and eye catching.

advert analysis edited since formative ffedback. we were given the task to analyse a fragrance advert. i chose to analyse Prada candy L’eau as it is directed by Wes Adnerson and he is one of my favourite directors. originally i based my design on ‘cooler magazine’ however when we received our formative feedback, i was told that some of my designs didn't really fit the rband. I took this on board and changed it so that it was more minimalistic, i was inspired by indie magazine as it has an edgy yet simple layout which grabs the readers attention.

Blog: alexa’s imagination
35.
I created Alexa’s Imagination roughly 3 years ago, however only started seriously blogging in 2013. I found a real passion for sharing photographs, experiences, writing and connecting to my readers. My blog is a lifestyle, fashion and creative site which encourages people to lead the life they want to live. this term I've been focussing on the food side of the blog, with regular updates on new recipes. I’ve enjoyed posting about FCP this term as the work that we have been doing has really allowed me to engage and appreciate good branding and design which i like to form my own opinion on. these FcP posts can be found under the ‘university’ tab.
