Francina Grecco

Hola!! I`m Frany, I am from Rosario, a beautiful city of Argentina. I`m 26 years old. My whole life has been signed and guided by the need to contact with others. I’m an Announcer, I`ve studied Social Communication and I am a journalist. This has always been my premise and north of life: to cultivate myself from the interior, to cultivate the spirit, to give the best I can towards the exterior, and to come out for my actions. When the body vanishes the only thing that remains alive is our energy, and it is by means of contact with others that this energy increases to mutate into something immortal. Life brought me to Romania, to live a once in a life experience, and I believe that I have a lot to offer, but I’m pretty sure that is much more what I have to learn.

EMRE GÜRHAN

AYÇ A U S LU

Hi. I'm Ayça. I'm from Turkey in Manisa. I studied International Relations at Abant İzzet Baysal University. I can say that being active in terms of social sensitivity is an effort that makes me feel relaxed and feel that the time I spend is meaningful. Learning by experience and through reading are among the essentials of my life. My efforts of taking chances or sometimes creating opportunities by myself keep me away from sentences beginning with "I wish". Therefore, taking and creating chances has become my lifestyle. I place much importance on communication and the fact that I like to talk attracts people's attention. Enjoyable dialogues are the ones worth entering into and this is my personal definition of good communication. They say "a happy heart makes the face cheerful" and this is my reason to smile everyday. So here I am, volunteering in Ramnicu Valcea/ Romania and once agaın, I am so happy to be here! PS: ‘’communication is important’’

Hello! I'm Emre Gürhan from Istanbul, Turkey. I studied business management at istanbul Arel University. I was also an exchange student at University of Ljubljana for a semester. I've been in USA with Work and Travel program in 2011. Before I came to Romania I was working for an organisation agency. I like to meet new people and travel and read. I love nature...Cheers!

Team Pum was a project about ecology with children through non –formal education; that meant our logo and this was, for a little time but so intense time, our flag. Team Pum was the motor and at the same time was the way to express the desire of three volunteers from different countries, from different fields of study and also from different projects in the same city in Romania (Râmnicu Vâlcea). Audrey (France; Green Life Project), Virginia (Uruguay; Creative Youth Entrepreneurship for Roma Community) and me, (Carito, Argentina; Green Life Project) really want to contribute with the change in consciousness and we want to work for that. For this reason we met and we mixed our ideas, we developed our intentions and searches, we wrote the project and we presented it to the general coordinator of our association. Fortunately we were able to do it and we are so happy for that; we shared our knowledge and at the same time we learned a lot of things and tools about ourselves, about each person and about each part of this experience.

Implementing procedures The students into two groups. Plants around a set of survey, another group of animals. Each of the students of two teams in each card write a plant or animal found in that name, and each other is confidential. Each group of elected representatives, five people at a time. First stick with plant name card in the animal investigation team members on the back of the students stand in a circle, each person can only see the words on the classmate in front of the back, and cannot see their own. Students can not directly in front of asking name, can only ask classmate behind - some speculative question, the people behind can only answer "yes" or "no". In front of people to speculate that the "who am I?”

The project's arrangement : We worked in a school with pupils between 6 and 11 years old in different class about different topic. We broached each topic during 4 days, 1hour/day per class. At the beginning, we thought to approach 4 topics with each class : 1-Trash: separation of waste at source and excessive consumption

2-Energy: Reduction of the consumption of electric 3-Energy: Reduction of the consumption of water

Then we made brainstorming about the topic to know which knowledge the pupils have. And to orientate our activity, also we orientate our activity according to pupil's age. One important part of our project was to present to the children’s family, and also to the community and to the volunteers, what we were doing all together: the children, the teachers and us. We did the Team Pum’s conference because we wanted to share our compromise and promote the environment's consciousness for start to change, little by little, some comportment in ours homes; and the most important detail is we wanted the children were the protagonist of these changes and for these changes, because for us they are the best teachers; from them and with them we can learn through a simple, lovely and responsible way.

National parks protect the best of our natural heritage: stunning landscapes, extraordinary wildlife and majestic forests. Together with other protected areas they form the basis of our economic and social wellbeing, attract millions of visitors annually, and help to protect unique wildlife by acting as a refuge for threatened species. Although their primary purpose is the protection of biodiversity, National Parks also deliver other invaluable economic, social, cultural and health benefits. Future generations deserve the right to see these natural values intact and protected as we do today.
