Green Youth Citizens
What is “Green youth citizens”? “Green youth citizens” is a youth project, financed by EU through Youth in Action program-Action 3.2. “Green youth citizens” is implemented in the period October 2013-October 2014 and involves 6 partner countries from Europe and Asia.
The main aim of the project is to raise awareness about environmental problems and how they confine us in the exercise of an active citizenship. The specific objectives of the project are: - To contribute to an increase on the awareness among young people to the themes of the training, hence an open dialogue will be created and mutual comprehension will be created, contributing to the promotion of solidarity and tolerance among young people from different countries - To share best practices among the different countries from Europe and Asia, promoting an active debate about them and creating activities to ensure the respect for environment. - To assure the access of young people and youth leaders to good practices examples in the field of environment protection. - To promote the active citizenship of the youth, through direct participation and development of the European citizenship sense.

YAP ZONGULDAK Yap Zonguldak Association is a registered EVS and EU project Office and Table Tennis Complex with 3 full time youth worker staff and many part time Turkish members and volunteers. It's biggest NGO in our region. We are based in Rainy Town (Zonguldak) and we specialize in increasing cultural awareness and understanding. Since 2009, we have been breaking down barriers to mutual understanding by bringing together people from different cultures.
The Llere Association is a non-profit organization which seeks to eradicate and change attitudes of discrimination, intolerance and racism, as well as oppression or persecution based on racial, cultural, sexual, economic, religious, or idealogical grounds. We especially care about the most vulnerable groups in society like children and ethnic minorities, as well as those individuals and groups most at risk of cultural or social exclusion.
Our vision
Establishment and implementation of social programs. Establishment and implementation of cultural and civic programs. Rural development and rural youth access to forms of nonformal learning. Training sessions in accredited institutions. Promoting transnational mobility. Organization of summer camps.
Apart from our involvement with EVS we have a range of programmes which involve people of all ages from a variety of different communities and backgrounds. We have a track record of working with young people, both nationally and internationally especially those with fewer opportunities. OSWSWA Orissa State Volunteers and Social Workers Association’ (OSVSWA) is a national level non-profit society, established in the year 1980 by a group of eminent freedom fighters, social workers and activists for initiating a movement to promote volunteerism and social action based on the Gandhian Philosophy. The entire work experience includes the areas of livelihood en-
hancement, enhancement of social integration, combating drought and desertification, youth for action, rural accessibility, development and empowerment of the unpreviledged and marginalized groups including indeginous communities, rural infrastructure development, institution building and community governance, coordination and issue based networking, Disaster
Risk Reduction, preservation of environment and climatic degradation, conservation of nature and natural resources, community media, youth for action and ICT for development etc. OSVSWA also hlding the central secretariat of South Asian Youth Climate Coalition founded in 2010 with a vision to protect the globe for its future generation.
ESDO Our focus: ESDO is a service orientated non-profit, non-government organization working to raise environmental awareness for the conservation of biological diversity and ecological balance. ESDO believes that building the capacity of communities will not only benefit the environment, but will also teach them to better selfmanage and therefore improve their socio-economic situation.
Sambhawana is a non-profit organization that prepares youth and adolescents for active citizenship and inspires lifelong participation in our democracy. We achieve this goal by developing civic programs and curricula in collaboration with schools, community-based organizations, and other educational non-profits. We also help schools foster a climate for civic engagement and learning. Ourmission is to empower youth and adolescents to become active participants in the democratic process and
ESDO’s operation since 1990 has focused on generating knowledge amongst the community about the impact of people’s personal actions on their direct environment, and simultaneously teaching them skills and knowledge in natural resource management to ensure environmental protection. By doing this ESDO is developing the socio-economic status of communities by creating and offering alternatives for a healthier and more prosperous lifestyle consistent with the principles of ecologically sustainable development.

SAMBHAWANA strengthen civic leadership. Our Goals:
Change how civic learning is taught, from the dry facts of history and the structure of government to an emphasis on how citizens can and must participate in civic life. Treat civic learning as an interdisci-
plinary subject to be employed across the curriculum. Provide the platform where young girls and boys can come together, share their experiences, learn and lead. Inspire, encourage and facilitate the involvement of girls in taking initiatives for positive change and development of their communities.

- 12 local workshops (each 2 in each partner country), dedicated to European citizenship and active participation of young people in the local community attended by about 300 young people from the partner countries. - 2 transnational meetings, attended by 16 leaders and 16 young people. - the implementation of a training course which will focus on acquiring social and entrepreneurial skills among the participants in order to actively involve in environment protection.
