Whether from standing before the ocean, gazing at the sacred mountain - Wollumbin, or sitting in circle with others, this Shire can awaken the ancestral seed in all of us. When we are open to it and when we are ready for it. As you are here to celebrate Spirit, no doubt you are open and ready. Our strong Bundjalung elders, past and present have generated an ancestral energy of power and importance. Please take your time whilst moving through our shire - our beaches, hinterland waterholes, towns and villages are great places to sit, chat, and celebrate life. I hope the glow within everybody at this wonderful festival, gained from connecting with the ancestral energy of this place and people, shines upon our shire and the world. Friday Night Concert - High School Friday Night - Opening Ceremony Our intention is to embrace spiritual practices that awaken the ancestral seeds within each of us, so that we may embody our true nature and evolve in harmony with all life. Our opening event honours the ancestors of this sacred land while welcoming ancestors from afar.
Welcome to Country The Welcome to Country is a traditional ceremony where our local custodians will honour the ancestors of this land via the spiritual traditions that have existed here for millenia. We’ll be lead by Uncle Magpie, Derek, Jarmbi Githabul and Eshua Bolton in song, dance and story.
Matiu Te Huki (NZ) Singer/songwriter, playwright, musician and teacher Matiu creates music that is positive, inspiring and unifying with a strong Maori essence using haka, chants and traditional Maori instruments. He’s performed with Fat Freddie’s Drop, Rhombus, Pitch Black, Tiki Taane, and many more.
Peia (USA) Sounds True recording artist Peia Luzzi has released 2 acclaimed albums and toured internationally with her unique song discoveries of different musical traditions. Her mesmeric performances feature her multi-instrumental gifts and unforgettable voice.
Lulacruza (Colombia/Argentina) Lulacruza is an electronic folk duo operating at the junction of the modern and the ancient, blending shamanic and ritualistic influences with folk and electronic music. Lulacruza consists of Alejandra Ortiz from Colombia and Luis Maurette of Argentina.

Murray Kyle The prophetic, original poetry of Murray Kyle, comes straight from the heart to endearing audiences around the globe. The powerfully tender performances has established him in the Australian roots music scene now sowing his seeds of inspiration across the world.
Ancestral Seeds Ceremony Through sacred song, Murray Kyle guides us into a deep heart space so we can harmonize our energies in a powerful ancestral seeds Ceremony. We welcome special guests for this ceremony who will share and honour their ancestral line through traditional song and dance.
Srikalogy (USA) MC, Singer, DJ, producer, and percussionist Srikalogy, uses Ableton Live to perform his original music, improvising live with Indian percussion and ambient vocals. The soul in his music is found not only in rhythms, but the energetic intention of each beat.
Wild Marmalade Drawing on rhythms from all over the world and inspired by indigenous sounds and the grooves of the present, internationally renowned global groove band, Wild Marmalade’s high energy shows uplift audiences with their display of powerful, joyous and infectiously danceable music.
Sunday Night Concert - Civic Hall Sunday Night - Uniting the Collective Heart Join us as we honour endings as a precious part of Life. To unite all in our final event, we celebrate the healing power of voices raised together in song, as humans have done from the beginning of time. Using different forms of group singing, we open to the collective heart and realize ourselves as ONE.
Edo Kahn Sydney-based Edo Kahn is an acclaimed mantra musician and APRA award wining singer/songwriter. He has toured extensively throughout Australasia with his late wife Jo. His music is an enchanting mix of Eastern mantra and Western pop that is both soothing and uplifting.
Kirtaniyas (USA) Kirtaniyas are a global collective of energetic, multi-talented artists who blur the boundaries between performers and audience to unite in one voice. Melodious dance orientated “Worldbeat” music meets the call and response singing of ancient Sanskrit mantras, accompanied by live acoustic instruments.
Tahir Qawwal Tahir has studied with the grand masters of sufi qawwali music in Pakistan and from his guru of Indian Classical music in Benares, India. An accomplished vocalist and harmonium player, he is known for his passionate performances and amazing knowledge of Raaga music.
Kevin James Carroll Weaving ancient Mantra’s with prayers and hearts song, Kevin draws upon influences from traditional Indian Kirtan, Bhajans, Celtic and Sufi chants mixed with western folk and world instruments. Practicing Bhakti Yoga (The yoga of devotion) Kevin leads devotional chanting circles and workshops worldwide.

Krishna Lane Krishna Lane is a solo artist who creates devotional soundscapes with bamboo flutes, acoustic guitar, slide guitar, mantras and a looper. After years touring with OKA and Xavier Rudd’s United Nations band, he is recording his first album with his new project Krishna Lane.
Vijay Krsna (USA) Vijay was initiated into Bhakti-Yoga at the age of 12. Through India and across the world he studied vocal and Mrdanga drum in the various Kirtan styles from holy men, mendicants, temple monks and villagers. His performances bring mood, depth and passion.
