Three staff members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) who had been held since the beginning of the week by armed individuals in the vicinity of Ja’ar, in Abyan governorate, are now safely back with their colleagues in Aden, read a Press Release issued by the ICRC. “We are relieved and extremely happy to have our colleagues back with us,” said Cedric Schweizer, who heads the ICRC delegation in Yemen. “We would like to thank all those who gave us their support unconditionally with the aim of getting our colleagues back safe and sound.”

AIR FORCE COLLAPSES HELICOPTER FIRED IN RADA’
A helicopter which was carrying members of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC), was expose to shooting while it was on its way to Rada’ in al-Baidha Province.
The helicopter was hit and was forced to land on the west of Rada’ without any human casualties. Sources in the air forces disclosed that a helicopter was also exposed to shooting, during its routine flying over the Yemeni capital Sana’a three days ago. This comes while Yemen is still living the tragedy of the crash of the Sukhoi 22 in south Sana’a.

CABINET MEETINGS CRIPPLED FOR THE FOURTH TIME The meeting of the National Reconciliation Government was crippled for the fourth time because of the absence of the Prime Minister, Mohammed Salem Basendwah, who navigates between Jordan and Egypt on non-official visits. A source in the Secretariat of the Council of Ministers said that it was scheduled for the government to hold the meeting this week but it faltered because of the absence of Basendwah who is still visiting in the Egyptian capital, Cairo on a non- official visit and also without the existence of a deputy to the Prime Minister.

KIDNAPPED EGYPTIANS FREED BY MOHAMMED KALFOOD
Tribal gunmen released, on Wednesday evening, two Egyptians experts after their abduction on May 7th to uncharted territory in the southern Abyan province. The release of the Egyptians occurred after mediation led by Abdul Latif al-Sayeed, tribal leader of the People’s Committees in Abyan. The website of the Ministry of Defense quoted the Egyptian ambassador to Yemen Ashraf Aql, who said that tribal mediation succeeded in releasing both Dr. Nasser Khalaf, the Deputy Executive Director of the al-Wahda cement plant in Abyan and Hanafi Hijazi, director of the factory quarry. The ambassador added that the Egyptian consul in Aden, Haddad al-Jawhari made great efforts under his supervision in the followup to end the kidnappings and

The source noted that the faltering of the periodic meeting of the government caused disruption of many interests of citizens and government ministries and institutions whose reports are discussed at these meetings, noting security chaos and the deterioration of public life which models many areas of the provinces of the Republic. The regular meeting takes place for the Yemeni government on Tuesday of each week, but it did not take place for nearly a month due to the traveling of the Prime Minister to Jordan on
a medical visit and then his trip to Egypt. He has met with his Egyp-
