07 Gasholders Penthouses King’s Cross

Originally designed by WilkinsonEyre, this residential complex celebrates London’s rich industrial heritage. While working with LWA I had the opportunity to be part of the design team that was responsible for the interior design of four of the penthouses of the Gasholders.

Working in such a legendary building, with prestigious clients, under tight deadlines, and with different, multidisciplinary teams, I obtained some of the most valuable experiences of my career so far.

In collaboration with the interior designers team we completed the developed and technical design for stages 3 and 4 of RIBA, for four penthouses of differerent aesthetic and design approach.

During the design process, a lot of emphasis was given to the staircases of the two-level penthouses as these stand proudly in the middle of the space, but also in the interface with the openable rooflights that connect the penthouses with the building’s rooftop.
