Pasta with Housemade Sausage and Creamed Kale Roasted Cauliflower Ingredients: Pasta Sausage Kale Cream Cauliflower Parsley (For best results, read recipe fully before beginning.) 1) Prepare the ingredients: - Wash and dry the fresh produce. - Strip the kale leaves from the stems, then roughly chop. Discard the stems. - Cut the cauliflower Into bite-sized florets. - Pick the parsley leaves from the stems and roughly chop. Discard the stems. - Heat oven to 425 degrees F. - Heat a medium pot of generously salted water to the boil on high. 2) Roast the cauliflower: - Toss the prepped cauliflower in a mixing bowl with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Arrange in a single layer on a sheet pan. Transfer to oven and roast util tender and browned in spots, about 15 minutes. Return to mixing bowl and toss with chopped parsley. 3) Cook the pasta: - While the cauliflower cooks, add the pasta to the pot of boiling water and cook for 7.5 minutes. Drain, reserving 1/2 pasta cooking water. 4) Make the sauce: - While the pasta cooks, heat 1 teaspoon olive oil in a large saute pan over medium-high until hot. Add sausage in one piece and cook, undisturbed, until nicely browned on one side, about 4 minutes.
