Welcome to the 63rd Annual Hyannis Rotary Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show!
Welcome,
Now in its 63rd year, this show has a long, proud history that has allowed people like you to give back to our community. Your attendance here this weekend is helping to raise funds that enable our club to do its work. It helps us fund service projects both locally and globally, provide grants to local nonprofits, community groups, and schools, and support Cape youth through scholarships so they can follow their dreams.
MICHAEL WHITE President 2020–22Rotary Opens Opportunities
KING Co-chairThe past two years have been an unusual one for all. Organizations like Rotary are founded on the bedrock of fellowship and service, and it seemed as if the world around us was doing everything it could to prevent it. I had never been more proud to be part of the Hyannis Rotary Club than I have been during this global crisis. As a club we preserved and adapted to support our local community who were struggling in the wake of the pandemic. Together we gained access to over 12,000 masks that were distributed to first responders and nonprofits alike all across Hyannis. We donated sewing equipment to local community groups to create masks to protect those in our community. We worked with our district, District 7950, to match a grant for the Baby Center to provide essential supplies to mothers and fathers for their newborn children. We continued our support of nonprofit programs through our grants program, and still maintained our scholarship program. All of this was made possible through supporters like you and the active work of our Club.
Serve to Change Lives
STEPHEN P. HAYES Vice PresidentI joined the Hyannis Rotary Club in 2015, filled with excitement at the chance to support local scholarship efforts, and I never imagined the kindness I would witness from Rotarians, and the collaboration across generations. From a member sleeping on Main Street to raise funds for Haiti Disaster Relief, to the magical words read aloud to children as part of our extensive reading program, to building desks for remote learners; I am still not sure what has impressed me more. The fact is, the Hyannis Rotary Club is making a difference. They are opening opportunities, and they are serving to change lives.
By being with us today, at our Home & Garden Show, YOU are making a difference and I hope you will continue to find ways to do so. We need more difference makers.
With gratitude,
Michael White President 2020–2022I extend my deepest thanks to every volunteer, every organization, and every business who supports us by buying ads, exhibiting, donating goods and services and more. We could not do it without you!
The Rotary Club of Hyannis was the first Rotary Club on Cape Cod, founded in 1925, and has been a network for professionals and leaders for over 97 years. Today, our members serve the Hyannis community in many ways, including fundraising for scholarships, grants, literary programs, and other hands-on service projects.
The Home, Garden and Lifestyle Show, our largest fundraiser, has enabled us to fund college scholarships for high school and community college students, buy books for schoolchildren, support the local soup kitchen, cover renovation costs for such programs as Champ Homes and Independence House; donate car seats for needy young families; donate the electronic scoreboard for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks; pay for refurbishing the band shell on the Hyannis Green, and contribute with other Rotary Clubs across the Cape to help fund the Bloodmobile for Cape Cod Healthcare and Habitat for Humanity. We also support our club’s district, 7950, in its efforts to educate and tackle such issues as the opioid crisis that has affected communities across our country, including our own. Finally, we work on international projects such as clean water for Haiti and donating to bicycle safety awareness campaigns in Costa Rica. We are delighted to be back after a two-year absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This year’s event continues our long tradition of bringing our community together as we provide another opportunity for local residents to meet and greet local home repair, landscape and garden contracting firms to see the latest innovations and trends.
Several nonprofit groups are joining us in 2022 such as the Cape Wellness Collaborative, the Commercial Fishermen’s Assoc, Barnstable Neighbor 2 Neighbor, Take Care Cape Cod, Cape & Islands Boys and Girls Club, and Cape Veterans Outreach Center, to name a few. We have entertainment including the goat petting zoo, meet and greet with trained service dogs, ballet dancing, and Irish dancing. There is surely something for everyone here at the Home Garden & Lifestyle Show!
Hyannis Rotary, a nonprofit membership club, has no paid staff. Members and other volunteers donate their time, energy and talent to make the Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show a huge success. All net proceeds from the show go to our Good Works fund, and, from there, back to our community.
On average, we raise over $80,000 to benefit the local community and to provide scholarships for graduates of both Barnstable High School, Sturgis, Cape Cod Tech and Cape Cod Community College. Please help us do that! Visit our exhibitors, buy some raffle tickets, and enjoy our 63rd annual fundraiser, the Hyannis Rotary Home, Garden & Lifestyle Show.
Thank you,
Stephen P. Hayes Vice PresidentGLOBALLY

We are a network of volunteers who assist older residents in maintaining their independence and staying connected to our community. We bring together older residents, who are living independently in their own homes but need some additional assistance, with volunteers who will provide those services. Services include transportation, light household and yard work, grocery shopping, and socialization.
