SHAPE OF EARTH:
The location and concentration of urban developments at Tangalooma are heavily influenced by the contours and composition of the landscape. As demonstrated on the adjacent diagrams, the majority of urban development’s appear to concentrate around the medium altitude upon areas of consistent level. This is an understandable correlation, as these areas are the ones most likely to provide the ideal conditions for constructing buildings. As the soil towards the lower altitudes of the region is less stable due to its high sand concentration, any structural developments would have to take place in areas that can provide a more stable foundation.
