Design competition in EUROPAN 10 – ZAGREB OBJECTIVE - To give life to a dormitory town with a new development having sufficient

pubblic space and open green space. TRANSFORMATION OF THE SITE - The area is loceted in the new fast developing part of the city having an increasing need of pubblic areas and quality public transport. The project site will comprise new mixed use development and public areas in direction of the river Sava, as well as a new intermodal/park and ride station. STRATEGY - The principal strategy is to create a link between city planning and land resources management through public use buildings (school, kindergartens, streets, squares, parks) as well as subsidized housing (mixed use: business and residential).

Furthermore the site is physically connected to a greater green area along the Sava river and will be very important considering the increase in public transport with the introduction of the park and ride system. It will also encourage environmentally friendly mobility (cycling, pedestrian traffic) and integrate the site into the green zone along the Sava. October 2007 January 2008
